It's Monday. It's go time. I've already called my grandma, and her church to bake cookies and stuff once I give them the go ahead. Oh God I love old people and how they would do anything for me. I mean, I've been going to that church since I was eight, so the old women there and I are pretty tight. Once, they put some money towards buying me a Nintendo DSI when I was like ten. They're extremely nice people, and when I phoned my grandmother last night at like nine pm to ask her to bake cookies, she was having a game of cards and some tea with three of the ladies from church. Just my luck. Seems I have a lot of that lately.
I put on my school shoes and tossed on my heavy wool cardigan. I made my way outside to wait for the big yellow rust bucket called a bus. My mind wandered all over the place while listening to some song I downloaded by Tinashe. I think it was called All Hands On Deck or something of the sort.
I went into deep thought about what it would be like to work with the Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins and Jared Padaleki. Just then my phone buzzed with a new tweet from Jared. I swiped it and it opened. The tweet read "Congrats to the ladies who made it to the second round of auditions! Looking forward to meeting you all!" My heart skipped a little as I read. Then a familiar roaring noise came from the corner of the street.
I placed my phone back in my pocket and boarded the big yellow bus. I sat down in the back seat next to Colm O'Sullivan. Everyone on the bus knew the back seats were for him and I. They never sat in my seat unless they'd like to be hit with a few Harry Potter books. Logan Fairman turned around and started talking to me. "So I heard you auditioned for a role on Supernatural." He was trying to make conversation with me as per usual. The only people I really talked with on this bus was Alex and JR Brooks. They are the goofiest morons on earth, and are my two guy best friends. JR is a year younger then Alex and unlike his brother who has flaming red hair, he has black.
I simply nodded and grabbed out my tablet and then began to read a fan fiction. 50 Shades of Destiel. Yes, I'm that kind of chick. I read smutty fan fictions because I really honestly dont care what people think of me. Yes, I ship Destiel. I have a few other ships but Destiel is my OTP.
Since Alex and JR weren't on the bus today, I just sat in the back corner eating a granola bar. The bus ride is a good forty minutes since I live in Prince Edward County and of course, Belleville isn't in the county.
Once at school I placed my stuff in my locker and roamed the halls looking for anyone I knew.
I finally ran into Danette. "Morning." She mumbled with a tired voice.
"Sleep in again?" I asked noticing she was wearing Pikachu slippers. She nodded and rubbed her eye. "When did you go to sleep?"
"One." She replied yawning,
"When are you going to learn that staying up past ten is terrible for your body?" I sighed, shaking my head at my friends idiotic ways. Just then we saw Haley, our unnaturally tall friend who's completely obsessed with the Walking Dead and anything anime.
"Hey Haley." I said grabbing her attention.
"Hey!" She smiled joining us on our walk to the cafeteria where we usually skipped home room. "How was both of your weekends?" She asked moving her long sandy blonde hair to her right shoulder and shifting her binder for art.
"Boring." Danette said walking to her locker and grabbing a set of spare school shoes.
"Yours?" She turned to me.
"I got accepted to go to Vancouver for the final auditions for Ariana Winchester." Everyone in the hall went silent. Damn eves-droppers.
Haley and Danette's jaws dropped. "What!?" They said in unison then started clapping like over excited little children whilst squealing like dying rabbits. "We knew you'd make it!" Dan wrapped an arm around me. Haley knew about me auditioning through Danette. Nothing stays quiet in this school for long.
"When are you going?" Continued Haley.
"The real question is, if I'm going." Both of them stopped dead in their tracks.
"What do you mean 'if'? This is a once in a lifetime opportunity!" Danette protested. I continued to walk down to the first floor and they followed.
"I mean, I need to go and talk to mr Rampp about having a bake sale here for me to get two tickets for Vancouver and back. Last night the ladies at my grandma's church said they'd bake for it."
"We can come and help you ask Mr R." Haley offered.
"That would be amazing if you could."
The next two periods went fairly fast and I found myself walking down to the vice principals office with the two dorks on either side of me. The principal was a bitch, so the vice was much more approachable.
I opened the door after knocking. "Ms Walker? Ms Hayes? Ms Sagriff? What are you all doing- oh don't tell me you all vandalized the bathroom mirrors again?"
Last year I drew a giant penis on the bathroom mirror with a dry erase marker for ten dollars. I got suspended for two days but it was totally worth it.
I sat down in the chair and the girls leaned on the wall behind me. This should be easy because he owes me a favour anyways. "Actually no. Remember that favour you owe me for not telling anyone about--"
"Yes, I remember." He cut me off. I caught him kissing the cafeteria lady when skipping home room with Alex and Danette. May I just say that it was the most disturbing thing I've ever seen in my life- clothes everywhere and it was just... Let's just say that I haven't ate anything from the Caff' ever since.
"Time to pay up. I need a bake sale to happen tomorrow. I got accepted into the second round of auditions for Ariana Winchester. I need a plane ticket there and back." He was about to intervene but I stopped him with my hand "And don't worry. I have at least ten old ladies slaving over a hot stove for me out of the goodness in their hearts as we speak."
He nodded, acknowledging how I thought this through. He cleared his throat and looked at Haley and Danette who were leaning against the beige office wall still. I must say, they looked pretty bad ass the way they were positioned on either side of the doorway. "Fine. Tomorrow at lunch. You make the announcement yourself." He passed over the speaker for me to interrupt classes.
I took it and pressed the left button on it. "Sorry to interrupt your lunches NCC, but tomorrow at lunch there will be a bake sale in the front foyer of the school tomorrow. Cup cakes will be two dollars, and cookies for one dollar. Mini cupcakes will also be for sale for fifty cents. All proceeds will be to help one of your NCC crusaders get to Vancouver for the final round of auditions for the popular TV show, Supernatural. Would you like to be a classmate with someone on TV? Well come on down to the front foyer of the school at lunch tomorrow!" I spoke cheerily into the mic, then turned it off changing my tone from the cheery NCC Crusader spirit to my normal bitchy one.
"Thank you mr R!" I skipped out of the office to the halls for lunch. The girls gave me a high five on either side of me. I love blackmail.
