A magazine could only keep Calliope entertained for so long and, not to mention, she didn't understand half of the references in said magazine, anyway. Terzo never told her who demolished her room and there was no chance in the nine circles of hell she was going to the abbey to find him.
A knock on the door piqued her attention. Terzo?
Upon opening it, her theory was disproved. "Alyssa... what are you doing here?"
As Cal said this, her eyes darted to the other Sister behind Alyssa.
"Sister Imperator told me that you needed clothes. Apparently, an angry ghoul messed yours up or something," Alyssa giggled as she invited herself in, along with the other stranger.
Ghoul? Is that what they're called? Also, why would they do that?
"Oh, uhm, thanks but did Sister say why?"
"Well, the ghoul apparently claims you stole his grucifix, as if," Alyssa scoffed, ever so chirpy.
"You're saying 'apparently' a lot..."
"Well, I don't know the facts. It's just some gossip around the abbey."
"You're quite an interesting topic around there, you know," The nameless Sister behind her chimed in.
"I am?" Cal was so overwhelmingly confused.
"Giana," Alyssa chastised, unfolding and spreading several items of clothing on Cal's bed. "Ignore her. We don't talk about you that much."
"But you talk about me? Why? About what?" Calliope was as intrigued as she was surprised.
"Well, rumour has it you and Papa are..." Giana made a lewd gesture with her hands, along with some ambient noises. Calliope couldn't hold back the shocked laugh that escaped her.
"Giana!" Alyssa gasped, throwing Cal's pillow in her face before turning to Cal curiously. "Well... are you?"
"No!" Cal cackled. "Literally, where did you even get that idea?"
"Well, you two spend a lot of time together..." Alyssa started.
"And Papa is known to be a whore." Gianna added, still holding Cal's pillow. She shrugged innocently as Alyssa shot her a look. I assume this is a regular thing for them...
"The whore part I agree on, but we seriously don't spend that much time together. He's just the only person I can actually talk to in here."
Giana nodded, her mouth forming an 'O' and she looked over to Alyssa. "That makes more sense, I mean, she doesn't live in the abbey with us, and the ghouls are so quiet... except for when you need a good fu-"
"Will you shut up?" Alyssa snapped, looking horrified.
"It's true. "
Calliope watched their bickering in curious and amused silence, observing from the sidelines.
" Anyway , Calliope," Alyssa turned to Cal, ending her dispute with Giana. "We didn't know whether you were more Giana's size or mine, and we figured you wouldn't want to wear a habit so... these are some options from things we got while touring with them."
"Oh, that's so nice of you, thank you," Cal flushed, not sure what to say. Loosely based on what she could see, she was relatively the same size as either of them.
"It's no problem, seriously-"
"And we've never worn them if that makes you feel better," Gianna interjected. Cal paused, pinching her bottom lip with a contemplative expression.
"I don't know how to respond to that..."
Alyssa chuckled, "I told you not to say that, it's weird."
Giana rolled her eyes with an unconcerned smile. "Just let us know how it fits, or we'll see you around in them, whichever comes first. Oh, and this one," She pointed at a silky white fabric. "Is a nightgown, it's the same as all of ours, we have an abundance of these."
"Oh, thank goodness, mine was-"
"Clawed to shreds, He's such an asshole for that, he could've asked about the grucifix." Alyssa sighed, refolding a shirt with a vibrant print.
"You know who did it?"
"No, but we suspect Alpha. He's got a temper..." Giana sighed, fixing her headpiece in the mirror. Calliope could tell that she had dark hair from the few strands that escaped, whereas Alyssa had either blonde or red hair. Yes, Cal, this is vital information that you needed.
"Which is why we stay away from him." Alyssa finished. "Anyhow, it's late. We'll let you get to bed."
Calliope nodded, walking them to her door. "Thank you again, I appreciate it. A lot."
"It's no trouble, let us know if all's well," Alyssa told her as a farewell and they both left, waving at her as they reached the stairwell.
Cal waved back before shutting the door. Maybe she was too harsh with her assessment of Alyssa... both of them seemed nice.
She turned to the clothes on the bed, placing the nightgown aside before shuffling through the rest. Black jeans... a lot of black jeans, an alarming amount of t-shirts with Terzo's face on them and some plain tank tops and shirts. All very useful.
Picking up the last one of the pile, she recoiled at the sight and practically threw the shirt into the back of her closet.
Fat fucking chance I'm caught with Secondo's face splashed across my chest.
