"Min Cha-young, Min Cha-young," I called out, my voice a mixture of hope and fear.

But she didn't respond then Hwang Yoon-gi rushed towards us his face etched with concern.

"Geunyeo-e-ge museun iri ireona-sseo?" Joo-mi asked Jong-hee, her voice laced with worry.

"Geunyeo-neun mun-eul tong-gwan han hue tteoreojyeotseo," he replied, his voice heavy with exhaustion.

How did they stay alive for the past year?

They were totally gone. Why did we see them now, seemingly fine?

I shook my head dismissing the questions the important thing was they were here.

"Naega ana-julge," Hwang Yoon-gi said, his eyes filled with concern.

I nodded, handing him Min Cha-young.

"Dareun saram-deul-eun eodie isseo?" I asked Jong-hee, my voice filled with urgency.

"Geudeul-do mun-eul tong-gwan han hue tteoreojyeotseo," he said, his voice heavy with exhaustion.

Even Min Cha-young's cousin didn't tell us the exact location where we were staying.

"Jigeum tent-eu-ro de-ryeoga," I said, my voice firm.  They nodded, their faces a mix of relief and exhaustion.

"Ne, sajang-nim," they replied in unison.

"Jamkkan, Peolbin Haldasin Baksa-reul bulleo-seo geomsa-reul hae," I said, my voice laced with urgency.

Jong-hee nodded, his face a mask of determination.

"Ne, sajang-nim, algesseubnid," he said, his voice firm.

"Geokjeong ma, god gwaenchana-jil geo-ya," I said, turning to Joo-mi, my voice laced with reassurance.

She hugged me tightly her warmth a comforting presence.

Jang-shin POV
A year had passed but the weight of unresolved tension hung heavily in the air Jong Sen-hyung still seemed mad at me the ache of guilt gnawed at my insides.

I hadn't meant to hurt his feelings but the words had slipped out before I could stop them I didn’t know what to say to him now every time I tried the words got stuck in my throat.

I felt sorry for him and I didn’t want to repeat the same mistake taking a deep breath I stepped out of the tent hoping to clear my mind as I walked I caught sight of.

Min Cha-young, Yangnuk Ah-jane, Choi Kim-suk, Cha Soo-yoon, and Kyong Nam-mun being admitted relief washed over me knowing they were back but I also felt a twinge of anxiety.

“Tú. Revisa el pulso si no quieres que mueran" someone bark, a touch of desperation in their voice.

Where the hell was Bangsik Suk-young?

I had no experience with pulse checks and panic crept in thank goodness he finally arrived.

“Maekbak hwag-in-haesseo?” He asked, a hint of authority in his tone.

I was taken aback I thought the Spanish army was supposed to be more organized.

“Sasil jal molla,” I admitted, trying to keep my voice steady.

He looked at me, his expression neutral.

“Ja, jal bogo ba-eweo, imo" what the hell did he just call me?

Before I could retort he focused on Min Cha-young’s wrist checking her pulse with practiced ease.

“Neomu mani georeoseo talsujeong-iya. Choeso han dal, an-imyeon geu isang swieoya hae. Maeil sangtae-reul hwaginhalge,” he explained, we nodded in agreement grateful for his expertise.

As he finished I stepped closer.

2 Months Later

Suddenly a gunshot shattered the peace my heart raced as I sprinted towards.

The open courtyard when I reached the entrance the screams mingling with.

The growls of the undead I took a deep breath steeling myself for what lay ahead.
