Lightbulb's POV

I stared at my phone, grinning like a madman. I'd just ordered tickets to a movie I'd been waiting forever for! The best movie of all time, no doubt! Baxter and The Chamber of Secrets!

After being eliminated and taking home 4th place, I could finally go watch it. I had actually named Baxter after the main character, but it's not like anybody noticed that.

I paused my excessive smiling, noticing something off with the screen as my gaze transitioned back to my phone for only a moment. I moved my face closer to the device I clutched in my hands to the point where it was inches away from my nose, peering at the screen as my eyes scoured the words laid out before me.

I had accidentally ordered two extra tickets.

I processed this for a second before pulling what you'd call a "double take" just to make sure. Yes, I had indeed paid triple the amount of what I originally was going to pay, and had received triple the amount of tickets in return.

I racked my brain for ideas on what to do with these two tickets. Finally, a, well, light bulb lit up in my head. "Oh, I can just invite two other people to come with!" I exclaimed out loud as the realization hit me. Quickly snapping my mouth shut to stop myself from shouting more random things out loud, I set my phone down on my bedside table and got up.

I was seated on my bed in my assigned hotel room that I shared with one other object, though said object had already gone downstairs for breakfast. I usually came to breakfast late though,  OJ didn't mind too much as long as I left myself with enough time to come down later on and eat food before breakfast ended.

I checked the clock positioned on the wall next to my bed, and noticed if I didn't go down real soon OJ would come upstairs and drag me to breakfast himself. I shuddered a bit at the thought, he'd already done it a few times, and I knew he certainly could have done it again. Baxter didn't really like it when that happened, and neither did I, that was sure.

Speaking of Baxter...

I joyfully looked over to Baxter's little table, where his enclosure was kept. Test Tube had helped me set it all up and told me everything Baxter needed to live happily. I'd even taped a list of things to buy for Baxter regularly on the wall just to ensure I didn't forget.

Baxter sat calmly in his cage. When he noticed I was looking at him, he clacked his right pincer twice. I knew what this meant, I'd trained him so we developed some sort of communication signal, specifically so the little crab could tell me what he needed. It was pretty handy a lot of the time. This signal in particular meant the red crab in question was hungry, but I didn't have any fruit on-hand.

I had to go downstairs to get Baxter some fruit, that was the obvious decision.

It was perfect timing, since I was going to head downstairs for breakfast anyways. I gave him the crab a little nod in response before turning on my heel to face the door, making my way over to it.

Placing my hand on the door handle to my room, I pulled it open and skipped through the hallway, approaching the staircase at a moderate pace. Placing my hand on the banister, I quickly hurried down the stairs until I eventually found myself at the lobby. Perfect timing once again, because I heard OJ yell out the last call for breakfast.

As I wandered over to the counter and got myself some breakfast, I began to speculate who I should bring with me to go see that movie. A lot of people had been feeling kinda down because of how depressing season two of II had become since the eighth episode, so maybe I could use this opportunity to cheer some people up?

Perhaps... Fan.

After he'd lost his egg, even after making up with 'Tube, he still seemed kinda down.  I mean, of course he was sad, he was so attached to that egg, it was basically his child.

I looked around with my plate of food clutched in my hands, and noticed Fan sitting down at a table, poking his food with a fork in a bored manner. I steadily walked over to him, plopping myself down in the chair parallel to his.

Fan tiredly looked up, his gaze meeting mine. "Oh, hey Lightbulb." He mumbled glumly.

I joyfully responded, ignoring his sad greeting. "Omga, hi Fan! Do you wanna go see a movie with me? I accidentally bought extra tickets, so I wanted to invite you!" I replied cheerily, smiling as I waited for his own response.

Fan paused, before opening his mouth to respond. "Wait, actually?" Fan sounded surprised, maybe it was because I'd asked him before Painty or 'Tube? "Yep!" I confirmed, noticing Fan was waiting for me to reply. Fan instantly jumped in and kept the conversation going, eagerly agreeing. "Sure Lightbulb, I would love to go see a movie with you!" He halted his speaking for a moment, before bringing up a certain question. "What IS the movie, though?"

"Oh, it's Baxter and the Chamber of Secrets." I replied nonchalantly, listening as Fan agreed to come to the movies once more, only to bring up another question. "When are we gonna go see the movie?" I quickly responded. "Exactly next week at 3:30."

"PM or AM? Actually, that's a stupid question, never mind, of course it's PM." Fan said that last sentence a little quieter than the rest, but I chose to ignore that and simply end the conversation here, since I had another sad person and also some fruit I needed to locate.

"I've got to invite one more person though, so see you later!" I smiled. "Alright then!" Fan called after me as I got up and went over to the kitchen to cut some apple slices for Baxter. Fan sounded happier now, so I felt good about inviting him. After I finished this, I scooped the tiny chunks of apple into my hands and went back up the staircase. "Hm, who else has seemed down lately?" I muttered quietly to myself.

As I walked through the hallway, I heard soft cries and sniffles from around the corner. So, I approached a bit faster, wondering who it could possibly be.

Turning the corner, I saw none other than Balloon.

He was sitting alone on the floor, leaning against the wall and covering his face with his hands as if he'd tried to stop crying once he heard me approach. "Hi, Balloon!" I greeted Balloon happily, hoping my joyous energy could cheer him up a bit.

Balloon looked up at me, probably surprised somebody was talking to him. He moved his hands from his face, and... yep, he definitely looked like he'd been crying. "Oh, hi Lightbulb." Balloon murmured softly. I wasn't really sure what to do from here, until the idea hit me. Balloon seemed pretty miserable, so I should invite him to the movies!

Balloon continued to speak since I clearly wasn't going to. "Why did you approach me?" He asked quietly.

"I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go see a movie with Fan and I! You seemed pretty down, and I wanted to cheer you up!" I cheerfully told him. "So, uh, do you want to come with us to the movies?"

Balloon seemed to be in disbelief that somebody was actually inviting him to something, but snapped out of his trance and hurriedly responded. "Yes, of course!" Balloon didn't even ask what the movie was, probably just wanting to be included.

"Okay then! We're going to head over to the movie theater seven days from now at 3:30." I then remembered I was still holding apple chunks. "I'd better go now though, I have to go feed Baxter." Balloon just nodded and started looking like he was thinking about what had just happened. I turned the corner again and wandered down the same hall, finding my hotel room and entering.

My roommate still wasn't in the room since breakfast had only ended a bit ago, and I was only back here to feed Baxter. "Hi there, Baxter." I gave Baxter a small wave as I approached, and he clacked his right pincer twice again, just louder. I nodded. "Okay, okay buddy. I have your food here." I told him, carefully removing his food bowl from the enclosure and placing the apple chunks inside it before setting it back in the cage where it belonged. Baxter made his way over to the food bowl and started eating some of the apple chunks.

That was when I went over to my bed and basically threw myself onto it. I can't believe I get to go see that awesome movie with two other people, all because I made a silly mistake!

Can't wait for the movie, though! I bet it'll be the best thing ever!
