I slowly opened my eyes, weakly sitting up, as I was lying down before. What... happened?
I glanced around. I was in a clearing? The clearing where we set up camp... Wait, we...?
Fan and Balloon! Where were they...?
I took a more thorough look around, finally noticing Fan and Balloon, who were also at camp. Fan looked okay, but- OH MY GOSH, BALLOON!
One of Balloon's arms was just... missing, and one of his legs was all bandaged up.
I was worried for him, what even happened? I couldn't really remember much from yesterday..
As I was thinking to myself, Fan noticed I was awake, and quickly rushed over.
"Lightbulb! You're awake!" Fan seemed pretty happy. "Uh, yeah... What happened...?" I replied quickly, confused on why Fan was so ecstatic about me waking up.
"Well, uh... You fell into a river and..." Fan trailed off.
"Oh." Everything came rushing back to me now. The wolves, the river, I remembered it all now.
I glanced over at Balloon again. "What happened to Balloon...?" I asked Fan softly.
Fan looked over at Balloon for a moment as well, before pulling his gaze back to me. He opened his mouth to speak, but seemed to hesitate for a moment before telling me. "...Well, I don't know. I was just walking around and found him.. like THAT.." He gestured to...
"Oh geez..." I mumbled.
I stilled, stopping my speaking for a moment to think. We needed to get out of this forest, it was dangerous, and Balloon had already gotten seriously injured, when it'd only been a week since we got stuck here.
"We need to get out of here..." I mumbled, unconsciously saying my thoughts aloud.
Fan paused, seeming to think about this for a moment. "You're right." He responded, his voice firm and less shaky. "We should get out of here, even if trying to get out is more dangerous then staying."
Snapping out of my thoughts, I looked at Fan. "Yeah, great idea, but how would we do that? We don't really have a plan."
Fan seemed to stare at me, seemingly confused. His confusion confused me. "...What? What did I say?" I asked tentatively.
"That was your id- Whatever." He seemed to have brushed off whatever was confusing him. "You're right, we don't have a plan."
