Lightbulb's POV

My foot ached, and my head felt very weird, probably from all the blood rushing to my head. I had been hanging upside down for at least fifteen minutes, and was starting to feel sleepy.

I noticed some bushes moving. Even my upside down self could see that, so clearly they weren't trying to be sneaky..

The creature in question slowly stepped out of the bush. Oh. It was just Fan, who was holding Balloon.. Phew. Wait, what happened to BALLOON?

Fan looked around nervously, before spotting me. I was just staring at Balloon. He looked like he was dead, honestly.

Fan gaped at me, who was still dangerously dangling above a river. My consciousness suddenly began drifting from me, though I desperately attempted to stay awake.

Fan just stood there, probably wondering how he was going to get me down. he suddenly set the unconscious Balloon down, and began climbing the tree I was stuck in. However, him climbing through the branches made them shake, which made me swing slowly through the air, almost like a swing.

And then suddenly, I heard the noise of something wooden snapping in two, and before I knew it, I was plummeting towards the water.

SPLASH

I hit the water's surface, pure pain immediately coursing through me. It was like each and one of my nerves had activated all at once. I sunk slowly, just barely managing to hold my breath despite my painful dilemma.

My vision had began to blur, but I quickly snapped into action, pushing through this immense pain and slowly making my way towards the bank. My lungs burned, and I felt like I was dying.

I could just give up and get rid of this pain... No, I can't do that, I need to stay alive, my friends need me.

I finally broke through the surface of the water, gasping for air. I still felt a lot of pain, but I managed to swim to the shore since it wasn't too far.

Once I'd made it onto dry land, I collapsed, groaning in pain. I could feel my vision blur even more, and eventually, all I could see was..
