Balloon's POV

"Oh, uhm.." I mumbled, actually not sure what do to.

I thought for a moment, what would we need to survive out in the forest? I mean, there's shelter, there's water... and food... Oh, food!

"We should find some food, of course!" I answered Lightbulb confidently.

Lightbulb gave me this confused look. "What? But we have SOOO much food! Sticks are super-duper filling, you know!" As she said this, Lightbulb picked up a random stick and snapped it in half. I could only stare in disbelief as she popped this piece of wood into her mouth and oh-so-casually started chewing the... FREAKING STICK?.

"Crunchy, as always."

Fan suddenly spoke, butting into the conversation. I guess he'd woken up during Lightbulb and I's conversation. "Sticks aren't.. food, Lightbulb." Fan told her, sounding a tad concerned. I was too, of course, so I couldn't blame him.

"Omga, they AREN'T? I don't believe ya, flat face." Lightbulb replied, her voice a little muffled since she was still chewing the stick.

"Lightbulb, I meant stuff like berries."

"Ohhh..." Lightbulb murmured, before quickly continuing to speak before either one of us could do anything about it. "Well then, no, we don't have any food, if you really hate sticks." She looked like she doubted we wouldn't eat a stick.

"Well, let's go, Fan. We can go find some ACTUAL food." I quickly told Fan, getting up and starting to walk off.

"What about Lightbu-" Fan saw I was quickly leaving though, and changed what he was going to say. "Wait for ME!" Fan hurried after me, and we both left the clearing we'd set up camp in, heading off to go find something edible that wasn't a stick, and leaving Lightbulb to do her own thing.

Lightbulb's POV

I sat in the grassy clearing, chewing the other half of that stick I'd eaten only a few minutes earlier. It tasted like wood, obviously.

I swallowed the stick, glancing around the clearing. Eating a bunch of sticks sounded boring, and I wanted to see if I could find something else.

I got up and began walking around the clearing, searching for something that would look tasty enough to eat. After like... five seconds, I picked up a leaf and ate that. It didn't taste all that good, but I swallowed it anyways.

"Eck.." I mumbled, deciding to not eat any more of those leaves and starting my search over again.

After a bit of walking in circles, I finally spotted a... weird purple flower. It wasn't that far away from the clearing Fan and Balloon had left me in, so if I went to go get it, I probably wouldn't get lost.

The funny thing was, it was a lavender color, but it definitely wasn't the plant lavender. But I mean, close enough, am I right or am I right?

So, I wandered over to the little flower, bent down, and plucked it from the ground. I didn't even bother to walk back, I just shoved the whole flower in my mouth and started chewing.

It tasted kind of funny, but there's totally never any drawbacks to eating something random in the forest. No, definitely not...

Fan's POV

"What about these ones here?"

"Oh, don't eat those..."

Balloon and I had just been walking around so far. He'd said he knew a bit about the wildlife around here (probably because OJ kept kicking him out of the hotel), so I'd just been pointing out berry bushes and asking him if they were safe for consumption.

After a bit of walking though, we finally found some berries that weren't bad for us, so we'd grabbed as many as we could hold, which honestly wasn't a lot, but whatever.

We hadn't found any other berries after those though, so we'd just started heading back.

"So, uh, Balloon,  what do you think these taste like?" I commented idly, just trying to start up a conversation.

He quietly replied, not bothering to make eye contact. "I've had a few before... they taste kinda like sour blueberries."

I popped one into my mouth as we walked and... yeah, it tasted somewhat like sour blueberries.

Finally, after a bit more walking in silence, we'd reached the clearing, and upon entering, saw Lightbulb sitting by a tree. She looked... a little like she was sick, or maybe nauseous.

"Oh, hi Lightbulb." Balloon just awkwardly greeted Lightbulb, also noticing how she looked off, but simply choosing to ignore it, take the berries I was holding, and go stash them somewhere.

Since I wasn't holding anything anymore, I approached Lightbulb and sat down by her "Hey, uh... Lightbulb, you good?" I totally failed that...

"Omga, I dunno.. I feel kind of-" She suddenly gagged and then quickly clasped her hands over her mouth, like she was trying to stop herself from throwing up. She didn't even have to finish her sentence at that point, I think we all got what she was trying to say.

Balloon gave Lightbulb a worried glance from across the clearing, and had finished stashing the berries by then (that was fast), so he also approached Lightbulb.

"Uh... did you... eat something weird?" Yeah, that was a good guess on Balloon's part, considering she ate a stick not too long ago.

"Well, aside from some sticks.." Lightbulb trailed off, but Balloon gestured for her to keep talking, so she did. "There was a cool purple flower, so I ate it- ...and now I don't feel very great..." Yeah, she definitely looked nauseous. Wait, hold on-

And right then and there, Lightbulb gave a violent lurch, and vomited.
