Izabelah's POV

Damon got to the store in half the time he said he would, and I was showered, dressed, and trying a locator spell, but Icarus was far too strong for that, and all I'd ended up with was a headache and a nose bleed.

"Izzi! I told you not to!" He cried, grabbing a cloth and wiping at my nose as it trickled down my chin and lips, dripping onto the map of the area while I continued the spell. "Look, you're still sick, we need Bonnie to do this, not you."

I shook my head violently, clutching onto the table as hard as I could. "Being sick is the least of my problems, my Love. I need to channel something, then I can have the power for this. You know how strong I am, Dae, I just need a little more power, and then we can find Rosie."

"There's nothing you can do except admit that you're going to need help in this, which is why I am so glad that you called me. We are running out of humans in this town as it is after Katherine came back." He joked, but I didn't find it funny. She was going to be pretending to be human right now, if she stayed doing that for long enough, then it could kill her.

Blinking, I looked up at him. "Go and get me a Black Magick, I'm doing something old, very, very old." He seemed confused, but was gone and back again in a second, holding a long stemmed rose with thick thorns all up the side. "Thank you. Now give me your hand."

"Izzi, what are you doing?" He asked me, giving me his hand. Instead of replying, I pressed mine next to it, and wrapped the stem around my hand and then his, getting a steady stream of blood trickling down onto the map. "Izzi?"

"Phosmatos Trebum Trakon Milaa Nias, Phosmatos Trebum Milaa Nias." I kept repeating myself, and then I looked down at the map, seeing that it had stopped in the middle of nowhere. "Where is that? I didn't know that there was anything out there."

Damon looked down himself, taking the rag again and wiping my hand clean. "I know where it is, there's a house there that was abandoned in the 70's." I pulled my hand away and went to grab my velvet dress coat, but he stopped me. "Izzi, stop, think about this. You have the flu, you're barely functioning, and this guy is strong enough to block you. Who is he, and what did you do to piss him off?"

"His name is Icarus, and he's a Warlock from Chicago. I pissed him off by just being stronger than him, usually, anyway. He's a collector, he looks for the strongest witches, getting into their lives, and trying to take their powers. Like the first episode of Charmed. Except obviously I am far too strong for that."

"Right, and why would he follow you here? Why wouldn't you kill him in Chicago, Izzi, I know you've killed before, I recognised your handwriting, all those Vampires in the church? You have the most beautiful handwriting, trust me, I memorised it after that first letter you sent me."

Oh, my handwriting... Very cursive, very slanted and very, very dainty... Happens when you learn to write before paper existed. I wrote on animals skins. "Because I haven't ever killed someone myself, unless I knew they were going to become a Vampire. That was always Rose, and now she is dead. We need to save Rosie, come on."

Grabbing his hand, I tried to drag him out into the main shop, where my own weapons were stored, but he stopped again, pulling me back towards him and kissing me, so, so softly that I could barely feel his lips on mine. "I could never forget you. Ever, Izabelah Petrova."

"Well maybe you should have." I muttered, but I couldn't help but smile a little. Damon grabbed a cross bow, and I grabbed my daggers, midnight black blades with silver veins. They were my own mothers, and they never failed me. "Come on, I'm driving." I told him, grabbing my bike keys and heading to the garage.
