Izabelah's POV

"Izzi! Izabelah!" Someone was shaking me and I groaned, sitting up and rubbing my head. "Hey, you alright, Grams?"

"Elena? Wow, I must have gotten drunk and passed out. I dreamt that my Dae was bitten by a wolf, and then Liz turned up to try and kill him." Her face was stony, and I just knew. "Great, not a dream. A Witch can hope. My head is pounding."

She nodded, helping me to my feet. "Valerian, Liz told me. Well, welcome to the human world for the next 24 hours, Izzi. No locator spell then, or a way to get us out of here. Here, your nose was bleeding." She passed me a tissue.

"Great." I wiped at my nose, and then the Sheriff came back into her office. "Where's my Damon? What have you done to him, Liz?!"

She glared at me, not looking amused that I was awake so soon. I was alive before the invention of tranqs, thank you very much. "Why do you even care? You know what they are, what they do. You've watched them over the years, Miss Pierce."

"Petrova. Izabelah Petrova, the Originator of both Elena's and Katherine's bloodline. I'm over 1000 years old, hunny. I understand why you hate them, but you're wrong."

"They're murderers, Elena, Miss Petrova. End of story." And then her deputy came in, looking a little worried.

"Damon Salvatore was just spotted outside entering the Grill. Shouting for an Izzi, he was with two others."

My heart quickened. "That's me, I'm his girlfriend. You've got to let me come with you. Dae, he's sick. He's not himself, Sheriff." She looked at her deputy. "Keep them both here. If you need to, taser the Witch to shut her up." Oh, now that was just rude.

The door shut again and I flipped her off, turning to my granddaughter, who had no idea what to do. "Okay, give me a hand and let's throw this chair through the window, my Love."

"We are so getting arrested after this." She grumbled, but the chair just bounced off. "So much for that bright idea, Grams, what next?"

Sighing, I pulled my shoes off, putting myself back a moment, and then I gave the window a roundhouse kick, the glass shattering around my foot and scraping along my ankle with a deep cut. "That. I can't do anything with shoes on, I'm still used to being the village Witch without them."

We pushed the rest of the glass out, and started running, separating to find him faster and my ankle was now throbbing, blood streaming out of the deep cut, but I couldn't think about that, not yet. And then I was pulled into another of his hallucinations, seeing him run after Katherine in the forest. "Where are we going?"

"Everywhere!" She laughed, twirling around. She wasn't even interested in him, only Stefan.

He tripped, and then I rushed over to him, as did Elena, seeing him from a distance. And then her pushed her against a post as he fell back into his hallucination. "You're faster than I thought." Katherine smiled at him, and I had to fight back tears. Why was it her?

"Why must you always run from me?" The image of her flickered and it was me, and then her again. He wanted it to be me, but his memory was telling him it had to be her...

She laughed again. "Because I know that you will chase."

"Then let me chase you forever. Feed me your blood." She did that so often, promise to turn them and then just play around. She didn't want Damon, only Stefan yet she took him just to spite me.

"I will not feed you, Damon. If you want it, take it." She cut her neck with a needle of wood. "It is your choice to make."

"I choose you, Izzi..."
