Tam's POV
"Oh honey you're home!" Della squealed, running over to her daughter and wrapping her in a giant bear hug.
"And you've brought a friend," Alden added, looking me up and down.
"I'm Tam," I said with a small smile. Della's eyes widened.
"We've heard so much about you!" she exclaimed with a wink at Biana.
Biana turned away, blushing, and Della stepped over to me to wrap me in my own bear hug. Not sure what to think of that comment, I said, "So... Biana—where should we go?"
"How about in her room?" Della responded.
Alden jumped in on the idea. "Yeah—then you two can have some alone time!"
"Oh my gosh we're just friends!" Biana shouted. "Just because a boy comes over doesn't mean we're dating!"
"Sorry, sorry," they said in unison, scrambling away.
"Ugh, sorry about that," she said to me. Then she grabbed my hand and took me to her room.
I stayed silent the entire time, not knowing what to make of all that. Then a thought popped into my mind.
What if Biana and I dated and everything was always awkward like this?
"Don't worry, it wouldn't be," Biana remarked, still navigating to her room.
"Excuse me?" I asked, taken aback.
She stopped. "Ugh, I'm sorry—it's so hard not to read your mind! I mean, it's just open! But I didn't mean to. And don't worry, it wouldn't be awkward if we dated. It's just, I haven't actually dated before so my parents would have to get used to it."
My jaw dropped to the floor. "You haven't?! But you're so pr—"
I stopped myself before I said anything stupid, but Biana had heard.
"Aw, thanks Tammy! You're not too shabby yourself." She winked and continued to pull me down the hallway.
When we reached her room, I could tell it was hers before we even walked in. The door was covered in pink sparkles and yellow stars, and quotes like "Girl power!" and "Sparkles make everything better!". I smiled. Leave it to Biana to have a colorful, glittery door. When she pushed it open, it revealed an even shimmery-er room. We plopped onto the baby pink covers, grinning hard.
"So, what first?" she asked.
"How about truth or dare?" I asked, feeling bold.
"Yes! But I'm going first!" she announced. "Truth or dare?"
"Dare," I replied, deciding it would be safer not to talk about our feelings or anything like that.
But I was wrong.
Talking about that would've been so much better.
"I dare you to find Fitz and invite him to join us." She cackled.
"Oh my gosh Bi, I'll get lost! And even if I don't, he's gonna wanna know why I'm here!"
"Oh, calm down! You're just hanging out here for the day! Maybe you could even sleep over, but just for fun!"
"Fine." I left her room to find him, preparing for a long journey. But he was thankfully right outside his room across the hall.
"Um, hey Fitz," I said unenthusiasticly. "Uh, wanna play truth or dare with me and Biana?"
"Sure, why not!"
So we went back to Biana's room together.
"Ooh, goodie!" she cheered. "It's about to get spicy!"
"Okay... truth or dare Fitz?" I asked.
"Truth!" he responded.
"Do you have a crush?"
He paused. "Yeah...."
"Who?" Biana asked eagerly, beating me to the question.
"Hey, that wasn't the question!" he retorted.
She groaned. "Fine."
"Truth or dare, Biana?" he asked her.
"Dare!" she replied confidently.
Fitz smirked evilly. I didn't think I was gonna like where this was going.
"I dare you to kiss Tam."
