Everything Changes Marcy x Reader

When (Y/N) finally went inside the castle after watching the sunset completely, the halls were silent. Everyone must be sleeping or locked away in their rooms, (Y/N) began hating the sound of her feet clicking as they hit the ground.

Gosh, I hate quiet nights, she said placing her earbuds on and playing music. 

When she finally got to her room, she was met with Marcy squatting down on her door with her head hidden in her arms. Taking her headphones off and putting them away she took the spot next to her, Marcy glanced up at her with a sad smile. "Hey," she whispered placing her head on the girl's worried shoulder. 

"So, you wanna talk?" (Y/N) muttered looking at the mural ceiling depicting Newtopian guards. 

"Not really I just wanna stay with you for a bit," she sighed closing her eyes. (Y/N) felt the breeze and shivered, she picked herself up confusing Marcy before taking her cloak off and placing it over Marcy. 

"I think we should go to bed and not freeze out here," Marcy nodded as (Y/N) picked her up by the elbow. The two changed and went to bed, it didn't take long for (Y/N) to fall asleep. Unbeknown to her Marcy was silently crying thinking of the deal she made with Andrias and the high possibility she was aware of involving her friends not wanting to stay.

A knock was heard waking (Y/N) up, she glanced down at the girl that was hugging her tightly and softly snoring. She frowned seeing the dried-up tears on the girls' faces, they still looked fresh.

I wish you'd tell me what's wrong, she placed one of her hands on the girl rubbing her cheek. Another round of knocks hit the door making (Y/N) flitch quickly pulling her hand back after Marcy squirmed moving her face to the side.

I swear if she woke her up, she glared at the door and began to slowly and gently remove herself from the girl's tight embrace. Thankfully granting her wish the girl didn't wake up but instead groaned and moved around a bit before laying still. (Y/N) softly walked to the door her feet making lightly padded noise as they hit the ground. 

She opened the door pulling the messy strands of hair out of her face and looking down irritated at the short newt known as Lady Olivia.

As always, the newt had her hand behind her straightened back, and with a formal and aristocratic tone she announced, "Master Marcy has been summoned by the king" 

"Is it possible for her to get a couple more minutes to sleep she barely slept last night," (Y/N) whispered recalling Marcy's teary face. 

Lady Olivia glanced at Marcy on the bed then eyed (Y/N) up and down, "Yeah I'm sure she hardly did" (Y/N) looked at the newt confused but before she could ask Lady Olivia continued, "Just like everyone in the castle Marcy has a job and she must follow King Andrias' call whenever and where he is no matter what"

She couldn't believe how rude the newt was being, does she not care about Marcy's wellbeing? "But-" (Y/N) tried to argue.

"-Now I repeat (Y/N), King Andrias has requested an audience with King Andrias!" she shouted before grabbing the door from (Y/N)'s hand and slamming it shut. (Y/N) grimaced at the loud, it was too early for her to deal with Lady Olivia.

"(Y/N)?" The girl snapped her neck seeing Marcy yawning while rubbing her eyes. She looked adorable with her messy bed hair, she was wearing one of (Y/N)'s old shirts which were slightly bigger than the girl, the neck part of the shirt sliding down her shoulder.

(Y/N) quickly glared at the door before turning to Marcy with a giant smile, "Marcy! Hey" Marcy watched confused as (Y/N) quickly moved to her side and grab her hand, "King Andrias wants to meet with you but I want you to know that I'm here to help you not bother you, okay?" Marcy nodded not knowing what to say at the girl's straightforwardness. "Alright, we should change before Lady Olivia storms in and takes you," the two then giggled at the thought.
