You stood in front of the house and protested in your mind for a long time, whether to go in or not.

You took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

"Coming" you heard someone tell from inside.

The door opened revealing an old woman.

"Yes, how may I help you?" she asked you.

"Is this Ms.Cha's residence?" you asked her politely.

"Yes, it is" the old woman smiled.

"I came here to meet her" you told, smiling a bit nervously.

"Oh, please come in" she opened the door wider and let you in.

You got inside the house as she closed it behind you, while you bowed to her in respect.

"Yihwa is upstairs. Come with me" she turned around to the staircase. "I'll take you to her room".

You nodded and followed her.

The old woman opened the door, revealing a person sitting on a wheelchair, their back facing you.

You slowly went towards her.

"Yihwa, someone wants to see you" the old woman said.

The person sitting on the chair slowly turned around.

It was Eunwoo's mother.

But then something else caught your eyes.

"Y-Your legs.." you couldn't continue. It couldn't be, right?

"A train accident, two years ago" she replied with a sad smile. "Have we met before?"

"Uh, yes. That day, I was on the train. I gave Eunwoo a lollipop and-"

"Y/n, right?" she asked with a smile. You nodded with the same gesture.

"I'm sorry" you mumbled, feeling more guilty after looking at her state.

She chuckled, "This is nothing compared to losing my son".

A lump formed in your throat, you couldn't breathe anymore.

"Eunwoo, he-" you stopped when you saw her smiling sadly.

You immediately knelt down in front of her hugged her tightly.

She was taken aback lightly, but eventually wrapped her arms around you and patted your back.

"Why are you sorry?" she asked.

"I could've s-saved him that d-day, I-" you broke down in sobs.

She comforted you for a while until you stopped crying.

"Eomma, we've not even given her anything to eat. How rude of us? Make her something" Eunwoo's mother said to the old aged woman, her mother.

"No, no. It's okay. I just came here to meet you" you said while wiping a few tears off your face.

"Are you sure? My husband will be here for lunch, we'd be pleased if you are here" she asked generously.

"It's really okay. But instead, can I have something else?" you asked and she nodded.

You got inside the car after bidding goodbye to Eunwoo's family.

You looked at the photo you, Eunwoo and his mother took in their polaroid camera. Eunwoo wanted to take a photo, because it was a habit for him to take photos when he met new people.

In the photo, Eunwoo was kissing your cheek while both of you had lollipops in your mouth. His mother, smiling sweetly at the sight. The last time she could smile sweetly at him.
