Hannah and Tia had not spoken in around a week and she had began to hang out with her other friends. Tobias continued to hang out with Tia and every now and then, Moe would too.Tia and Tobias had a free period so they were in the library working on their maths project. They had almost finished and the project was due next period so they were rushing to do the final touches. Tia gave Tobias advice on last minute fixes for his project and he took them as a grain of salt and just did the bare minimum that he knew would get him a pass.
Once the siren sounded, Tobias and Tia looked to each other as if they were mentally preparing for their maths class.
"Don't worry, Tia. After school we can go to mine and well, hang out, think of it to calm your nerves during the project."
Tia appreciated his comment, and was swooned by the fact he was able to read her emotions when she had not told him to.The pair walked to class and handed their projects to Mr O'Crane and he told the duo he was very proud of their efforts in the assignment. Tia looked up at Tobias and smiled and he gave her an approving nod in return.
Once the class was over, the duo walked out of the school gates together and made small talk while doing so.
"Still coming to mine?" Tobias asked.
"Of course." Tia replied.
"How are you feeling about the end of year party?" Tobias questioned again.
"Eh, you?"
"Yeah I'm looking forward to it."
"Have you and Hannah spoke since what happened?" Tobias said knowing what Tia's answer would no.
And it was a stern, "No."The pair hung out and agreed to meet each other during the end of year event that was on the upcoming Saturday.
The morning of the event, Tia made sure to do everything that you could think of to do.
She washed her hair.
She blew dried her hair.
She curled the bottom half of her hair and with the top remaining hair, she placed it into a pony tail.
She ensured she kept out two strands of hair to frame her face and curled them to perfection.
She picked out an outfit. It was dark purple. A dark purple dress that had a glossy tinge to it. She wore a pair of black boots, they were flat which made them easy enough to walk in.
She made sure not to forget makeup. She put on mascara, and a small amount of eyeliner. She then placed a matte black lipstick onto her lips.
She looked in the mirror and saw someone beautiful staring back at her.She smiled at herself before skipping out to the living area where her mother was.
"You look amazing, Tia." She said, a tear forming in her right eye.
"Oh get over it mum!" Tia teased to her mother.
"I forgot to mention, someone is waiting for you out the front."
Tia was confused when her mum said that. Who?
"I'm not expecting anyone?" Tia replied.
"I know, but that does not change the fact that someone is here for you." Her mum said, making a valid point.Tia's mum took a few more photographs or her daughter before Tia made her way to see who her surprise visitor was.
When she opened the door, she was greeted by a girl wearing a light blue dress.
"Hannah?" Tia said.
"It's me!" Hannah smiled.
"What're you doing here."
"I'm here to apologise for the other day escalating."
"Don't worry about it! I shouldn't have gotten so upset either!" Tia replied.
"About your dad... I just didn't want to upset you." Hannah sympathised.
Tia took a moment to think, "I don't need him in my life to be happy. I have amazing friends. A mum. Forget it! We're good." She smiled.Hannah smiled back. She contemplated whether or not she should tell Tia about what her dad said to her.
She did not want to bring up anything that could upset Tia. If it needed to be said later on, then there would be a time for it later on. But, now was not the time."Are you ready to go?" Hannah asked, taking Tia by the wrist and dragging her down to the Uber she had ordered for the pair. Tia did not have time to respond but Hannah knew she would have gotten a yes as an answer anyways. On the Uber ride to the celebration venue the best friends talked about what they had both been up to the past week, and about the party.
After around a twenty minute ride, they arrived. They got out of the car and began to walk inside.
