I take another bite of my bread as I watch Rick stop talking to Eugene and walk with Daryl to the other side of the camp, towards Rick's tent.

They're stopped when Jerry comes up to them on a horse and says something, but I'm too far away to hear it yet can read along the lines of what it is if he's following the plan.

And as expected Rick pulls out his walkie and talks into it and I change my frequency to hear the chatter.

"Alexandria Relay One, this is Rick Grimes. Come in, please."

"Go for AR one."

"Hey, I need you to get an Urgent message to Alexandria if Maggie Rhee shows up, delay her at the gate, and alert Michonne right away. Do not let her in without an escort." Rick walked towards the Horses as he spoke and Daryl followed.

"Copy that, Rick. Will relay the message now. Over." I take that as my queue and get up from my chair, finishing my bread as I walk over to Rick.

"Hey. What's goin' on?" I say acting dumbfounded.

"Maggie's going to Alexandria. She's about to do something she might regret." I stay silent for a moment before moving up to him and tapping his shoulder.

"I'll give you a ride, should be quicker."

"You sure? We got enough fuel?" I nod going towards my bike.

"Yeah, the quicker the better, right?" Daryl looked suspicious of me but shook his head and moved towards his bike.

"I'll follow you. Just in case." I curse in my mind but don't show it in my expression.

"Sure." Rick hops on my bike and I do the same starting the engine before driving down the dirt path.

I drive down the concrete roads and miss the turnoff to Alexandria on purpose which makes Rick tap my back before speaking. "You missed it, the way was back there."

I don't budge and look forward with a blank stare slightly looking in my rear mirrors to, unfortunately, see Daryl still on our tail.

Rick catches on to my silence and yells. "Pull over!" and I oblige getting off of the bike with Rick and letting it fall to the ground, not caring about if I broke something. "What is this?"

"You know exactly what this is." I pointed in his face as Daryl came around the corner before stopping at us.

"I already called it in. Maggie's not making it through those gates." I tilt my head.

"Yeah, that message didn't go through," I explain with my arms waved up by my side as Daryl approached our threatening atmosphere.

"You messed with the relay?"

"This time, man, it's gonna go the way it was supposed to." Rick goes for his radio but I knock it out of his hands and try to push him but he grabs me.

Daryl moves to break us up but gets caught in a three-way grapple, Rick loses his balance and starts tripping backward taking us with him off the road and down into a small pit, well the pit was long vertically but you get the idea.

I groaned as I got up and looked at the steep walls of the pit and the exit only being up. The others got up and groaned as well but from pain more likely.

Rick looked up and spoke. "Those roots... They're the only way we're getting out."

"Too high up," I say but Rick tries to jump and grab it anyway to which he fails and lands on his ass.
