TW: Mention of blood, death

I woke up to unfiltered rays of the warming sun seep through the familiar shutters of my windows. I woke up initially undisturbed but then last nights events came back to me and I breathed in shakily. In and out Sophie. The importance of breathing was valued more now than ever, in this fight, in whatever this love triangle was and just in general. Times were getting tougher.

And breathing was really important. But no matter how much I did. I still felt nerves build up. Everyone flashing through my mind and their concerned stares. Pity. I hated it.

I get what Keefe means. Keefe.

Where are you Keefe?

I should contact Dex. He helped me last night. I should thank him. I wouldve never gone home if he didnt force me to go home and get some actual rest. I picked up my imparter drowsily and cleared my voice getting ready to say his name. I quickly downed a bottle of youth and opened my mouth.

Then I heard a loud crash downstairs and I leapt out of my massive bed, causing the numerous pillows to fall off. I quickly rearranged my bed and pillows and ran downstairs. There had been no follow up noise. It mightve been Grady knocking over some pan or something. Edaline never did make a mess in the kitchen so Grady was the only viable option.

I turned to see Iggy making some questionable sounds. I rolled my eyes and picked him up and set him on my bed before running down the stairs. The blonde boy flashing through my mind, he was there everytime I fell. My emotions exploded and I couldn't describe what they felt, but they felt...indescribable. Ugh. Feelings are overrated anyways. Ignore them. Thats my advice.

I shook my thoughts of him and clutched my head as it was throbbing lightly with the explosion of memories so early in the morning, the throbbing dulled just enough to see straight. I closed my eyes and waited patiently for the pain to pass.

"Kiddo?" Grady asked suddenly and I jumped, which caused him to chuckle. My foot slipped off the carpeted stair and I slowly fell. It felt like one of those movies where the klutz slips and falls in front of everyone and then everyone laughs at them. Except in this instance Grady is everyone. I shook my head in embarrassment and pouted and Grady just laughed more.

"That's not funny." I said sulking

Grady kept laughing "It kind of is."

But his forehead creased.

"You still here? I heard the front door slam...I thought you had already left the house. I thought you might've gone to visit someone." He said his eyebrows creasing. His eyes darted to the kitchen.

"Eda?" He called out "You there?"

A whimper

"Eda?" He called out panicked. "Are you there? Are you okay?"

"Mom?" I called out desperately.

We both scrambled into the kitchen desperately. To find Edaline sitting there calmly. Lips moving silently mouthing words and shaking her head, the colour draining from her face, then I noticed the brunette sitting across from her. Her greenish-bluish eyes boring into mine, something clouding them, some sort of grief. Her head drooped slightly and her eyes stuck to the floor. I looked around for clues of any kind of damage.

Nothing.

I looked at her pointedly.

"You." I whispered. "What did you do?" I accused.
