Zennick, Aurora, Sparkletouch all looked at the large fairy in the Punker clothing with very different expressions. Zennick instantly noticed the fairy didn't look comfortable in those clothes, Aurora was barely holding on to sanity and trying to stay calm enough to decide if there was more danger, but was losing the battle, and Sparkletouch was shifting between horror and ecstatic joy.

'Sander is in the hospital. The other fairies took her out pretty hard,' Zennick said both to Aurora and the large fairy.

Aurora only nodded.

Zennick carefully let Aurora to her cot and tucked her in. She mumbled something and Zennick made soothing noises while covering her eyes with his hand. It worked a charm. She fell right to sleep. He worried she'd pushed her drug use too far and was in for a difficult next few hours, but he couldn't focus on that right now.

'Mirth sent you? What for?' Zennick said, standing up and walking in front of Sparkletouch, more than a head shorter than her with her heels on, his short shorts and new vest with the wooden badge looking exceptionally unintimidating.

The large fairy gave Zennick a nod. 'I see you. You must be Zennick. We didn't really think you'd be here, but Mirth insisted you'd be looking after their mum. Seems you two really do know each other.'

Zennick felt a burst of happiness and relief hearing that. It was exactly what he needed and sounded exactly like Mirth. He kept a neutral expression. 'I'm Zennick, and the woman in the bed is Aurora, Mirth's mum. This is Sparkletouch, she from the Canopy.'

The larger fairy frowned down at Sparkletouch.

'I helped Mirth get away! I'm not that kind of Canopy fairy!' Sparkletouch said loudly in a nearly painfully high voice. Zennick thought she would stamp, but she just breathed in. 'You don't have to worry about me and Dust Co. I wouldn't tell them where Mirth is and have their energy taken.'

The large fairy eyed Sparkletouch a moment longer, then nodded. 'You seem cool enough. But if you breath of any of this to anyone, I will break you in half.'

Sparkletouch didn't flinch at the threat, holding her ground firmly.

The large fairy smirked. 'You're not bad, Sparkletouch Gilings. I'm quixiup, I met Mirth a little bit again. They thought you'd all be worried about them, but seems you're all ok and know Mirth is safe. Mirth said I might be able to take some stuff?'

Zennick nodded hesitantly, looking down, all his bluster gone at the confirmation that Mirth was ok and he'd done the right thing. 'Go for it. I'll tell Sander when she comes out of hospital I guess. She'll be relieved about Aurora and Mirth both being ok. Did you need anything else?'

Quixiup turned to go when Sparkletouch stopped Fae. 'Take us with you. We want to see for ourselves that Mirth is ok.'

Zennick gave her a look of horror. Why would she push that? She didn't even know who this fairy was. He didn't even know! What was the purpose of this? She should just go home, back to her safe little life and be glad she didn't ruin anything.

Quixiup shrugged. 'You can hold more stuff for me. Sure. I think Doxod will be pissed, but that's his problem. Zennick makes sense, but I'm curious why you're curious. This isn't a nice world to be in Canopy girl. Your shoes will definitely be wrecked.'

Sparkletouch's expression hardened. 'Zennick, will Mirth care if I borrow some clothes?'

Zennick, startled and wanting to curl up with Aurora didn't hesitate. 'If you do them well, Mirth won't mind.'

Sparkletouch gave Zennick and quixiup a look of triumph and stormed off, dragging the door behind her.

Zennick looked at quixiup hopeless. 'Umm, if we're going with you, I should go tell Sander while you're picking through stuff. The better stuff is near the workshop. Don't take anything in the workshop though. That's stuff she's currently working on and will stab you.'
