"Isn't this that human you came here with? (Y/n) or something?" The familiar lady walks up to you, with a smirk.

"Wait, this is Eda the Owl Lady?" You stand in shock, "I thought you were just a scammer!"

"Well, you guessed wrong. Do you know what they've been up to, Luz? They've been with the Golden Guard for forever from what I've heard."

Your face becomes a deep red from embarrassment and you try to avoid eye contact.

"They told me they've been searching for a place to live and they faced some injuries," Luz replies to Eda.

"I don't want to attract any guards," the Owl Lady turns back to you, "got it?"

You give a small nod, intimidated by her status.

After a moment of silence, Luz grabs your arm and takes you upstairs to a room right next to hers, a room with nothing but a bed with some fabric hiding what's underneath, and a window with grey curtains. You walk in and close the door behind you. You soon feel a presence in the space behind you.

With a feeling of unease, you swiftly turn around. Only to see the one and only Golden Guard. You fall back into the edge of the bed from the surprise.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you," he helps you up, "I just.. wanted to make sure... you found a comfortable place."

"It's alright, I guess." You lay onto the bed next to you, "I just think I'll get bored in a room like this."

Hunter waves his staff and a tall pile of books appears on the floor next to your bedside. "They're mine, I finished them already."

You feel a small blush appear on your face, what a generous gift.

Hunter takes off his mask and lays next to you, he stares at the ceiling.

You sit there for a moment, feeling his presence next to you. It's different being near him without being stuck in a cast yet him still being next to you.

"Have you ever considered fight training?" He broke the silence of the room.

"No, why?"

"It's a good way to keep your strength high." He begins ramble and sits up, "I could.. show you,"

"Sure."

"But that's only if you want, wait  actually?"

"Yeah," you sit up next to him, "You're the only close friend I know. We need to keep hanging out, and-"

A note gets slipped under your door.

You open it and see a notebook. You turn open the first page and three loose sheets of paper come out. Two with weird symbols on them and the other with a note.

"Hey (Y/n)!

Learned how to do some magic while I was here, so I thought I'd share it with you since you're also powerless. Enjoy! :)

-Luz"

You open the next page of the notebook to see it empty. You redraw one of the symbols and see a chunk of ice come out. Your eyes widen in surprise. You flipped the page drew the other symbol and saw the sheet crumple into a ball of light. It was incredible.

"So, ready to begin training?" Hunter asked from behind you, mask on.

You turn around to face him to strike a battle pose, crouched down with your fists in the air.

"Do you think you can dodge?" he attempts an attack with his staff.

You don't have the time to react, and you shut your eyes tightly, bracing for impact.
