It was amazing that I somewhat paid attention to such a long winded ceremony. I guess I have the alcohol to thank for making it bearable. I much prefer what I got as opposed to this. I had an "emergency ceremony" where Lucien was present to have me recite a few things then I was set to rule. Then he gave me my crown, a new throne, and my ring. Moonstone, I chose. I thought it'd be humorous.

The Fallen were reciting stuff then they made her do a bunch of repeat after me phrases. I may have zoned out on what was actually being said, I was too focused on her. The entire time she stood with her head held high and shoulders back. Her shiny long dark hair half up and half down with a black ball gown perfectly hugging her flawless silhouette going into a full skirt to the floor. The black dress matched the obsidian stone in her ring, earrings, and necklace all worth more than all the cars outside right now.

Despite being surrounded by every one of the Fallen, this intimidating and alluring lethal aura to her presence demands the attention of everyone in here. There could be a fight that breaks out right now but I don't think I or anyone could look away from her.

Finally it was the end of the ceremony when she has to... I don't know the proper terminology but I guess you could say christen the throne room. A human is thrown up to her and without hesitation she latches onto the woman's neck. The same look in her eyes as the night I took her to a bleeder den. That fire, that liveliness, she was truly meant for this.

I watch her drain this woman of all her blood then step back letting her lifeless body drop to the floor. The large throne room erupts in applause and I can't help the smile that forms on my face. A servant hands her a white cloth so she can wipe the small drop of blood from the corner of her mouth, then runs off with the cloth like she just got handed something by a celebrity. The applause doesn't stop as Lucien places her silver with obsidian stones crown on her head. She takes a seat on her grand yet sleek throne letting her lips pull into a small subtle smile.

After having to speak to the Fallen and various guests greeting her at her throne she was finally able to step down and join the party. Making my way towards her smiling at her ring as she walks down.

"You looked right at home sitting up there." I say noticing that her smile fell the second she saw me. If it wasn't for the alcohol I think that sight would've tightened the knot in my stomach even more.

"It is where I belong." She states.

"I'm glad you came around to that."

She shrugs, "took a little bit but then I realized I look gorgeous in a crown."

"You look gorgeous in anything."

"Anything." She says in an agreeing tone. "Nothing." She adds lowly. Walking away with a devilish grin, her finger trails up my arm as she passes and like she possesses the power of lightning her touch electrifies my body, making my craving, my need to know her body so much worse.

I practically break my neck to get a look at her while she walks away. God, I want her. While looking back I lock eyes with Victoria standing next to Pierce. The last two Ascension weeks I've been at with her present she's only glared at me or called me names or told me how much she hates me. Chloe was at the last one and she kicked me in the balls, so people have been less than excited to see me. Victoria walks over to me with her face beyond twisted in anger. "Victoria, you look especially pissed off tonight." I raise my glass to her.

"I hope you're happy."

I furrow my brow. "Did you not see her up there. She's perfect."

She scoffs and mumbles something about me being a fucking asshole as she storms away from me back to where Pierce was standing- also glaring at me.
