Hi everyone!
I have a dilemma... what should be the three starters of the Orange Islands?! Should I just choose one starter from three different regions? Or do you guys have another idea?
Please comment and give me your opinion!

So, from all the ideas given to me these are my Top 5 with the readers' reasoning.
A. Treecko, Piplup, and Charmander, one regional starter of each of the closest regions. From Song_Kai.
Treecko would fit right in on the jungles that litter some of the Islands, especially the one on Three Island you have to go through in FR/LG for the Sevii Islands part of the game. So it would find a home on thr Grapefuit Islands which has all those fruit trees and old trees it could make its home out of.
Piplup would fit I feel due to how cold some of the waters in the Orangle Islands could be. They would flock to Articuno's island, I believe and would migrate during the winter seasons which would make breeding possible, allowing for Piplup to be a viable starter.
Charmander, is and always will be, one of my favorite starters even though I prefer the Bulbasaur line from Kanto. I feel like a past professor would have brought a couple of breeding pairs to the Orange Islands, which allowed the Charmander population to Thrive.
B. Rowlet, Froakie, and Fennekin, all exotic pokemon with a secondary type for their last evolutive stage. From Song_Kai.
Rowlet would be a perfect choice for starting trainers who need a mon who is able to battle over water and help them catch something that would allow them to traverse waters.
Froakie is a ninja based Pokémon. It would be useful for attacks from above when fighting battles that would allow it to get above their opponent.
Fennekin is another that most wouldn't think of, it's final evolution would stump most because they didn't think to take into thought of the secondary Psychic typing it holds. I feel like it would have a home on Starburst Island where they do all the crystal work. They have their Stick Wand which allows them to have that much more control over their flame usage.
C. Chikorita, Squirtle, and Charmander. From LadyNature.
Chikorita because of Meganiums design she looks like a tropical flower.
Squirtle: Orange Islands already have a healthy population of Squirtle, as they are trained as firefighters.
Charmander: Charizard is one of Ashs strongest one's and he relies on him alot. Charizard could help with travel from island to island once fully evolved
D. Hisui Rowlet, Hisui Cyndaquil, and Hisui Oshawott. From 100gamesvictor.
Given the Orange Islands are known for some rare altered pokemon colors, it might be fun to use Regional Forms. I know that canonically the Hisuian forms are extinct, but it might be interesting if they are only found in the Orange Islands. That way, the region can have distinct starters without having to really copy any other regions.
I could be mistaken, but in the story of Legends Arceus, they mentioned that the starters came from other regions; those pokemon weren't native to Hisui. And even if they didn't, we don't know enough about the Orange Islands to really know what pokemon are available. I could totally see them being able to have rare forms of pokemon not found in other regions.
E. From SableTable.
Maybe it would be on brand for Ash's league for most of the starters to be rehabbed rescue starters. Then every year they change the available starters. One year they have rescued Popplio, Treeko, and Chimchar. The next year is rescued Piplup, Bulbasaur, and Cyndaquil.
My thought process is that these pokemon have already had professional rehabilitation, and only go to a trainer when it is deemed psychologically and physically ready.
I also think an Ash run league would pay pretty close attention to pokemon welfare. Maybe a little more selective about entering trainers. Like the trainers would need to pass a psychological test and be scanned by an Alakazam.
Which ones do you like the best? Please vote!

So, the voting period is over and these are the results:
A. 4 votes
B. 0 votes
C. 2 votes
D. 9 votes
E. 9 votes
As such we have another issue, we have a tie! In response to that, some readers commented that a mix of both D and E would be good too. I like that idea and I am going forward with it. Congratulations SableTable and 100gamesvictor! Thank you for your incredible ideas!
