"Did we just train a pokemon to battle against a Legendary?" Iris inquired still shocked by what had happened on the last couple of days.

"What shocked me is the fact that we taught a secret and super rare move to a pokemon in a day," Cilan mumbled stunned.

"Just another Tuesday with Ash," Max commented in amusement.

"It's as if they have not been traveling with you for months," I scoffed shaking my head.

"Be kind to them, it is the first time they've met a Legendary," Ash scolded me gently.

On our way to Opelucid City, for Max's last gym badge, we found a hurt Kaledo, who had his horn broken. Later we found out what had truly happened, Kaledo belonged to a group named the Swords of Justice. Well, not really belonged to, but was raised by them. Virizion, Terrakion, and Cobalion were the ones that actually belonged to the group. The Swords of Justice, travels the world to protect people and pokemon in need of help. Keldeo was in training to become a member of the Swords of Justice. His final challenge before he can become part of the group was to battle Kyurem, a powerful Legendary Dragon-type pokemon with the ability to wield the power of Reshiram and Zekrom which lives in an abandoned mine. However, the Swords of Justice did not believe that Keldeo was ready. After hearing that, Kaledo sneaked out to challenge the dragon and got his horn broken after failing to use the Secret Sword.

After learning all of this, Ash rapidly called his team to assist. But nothing worked, Kyurem who had been woken up by Kaledo, would only rest if he finished his battle with Kaledo. Even if Charizard and I worked together to take Kyurem down, he would only wait to heal and go track Kaledo down. So, Ash made a deal, Kyurem would give us a couple of days, in which Kaledo would be trained by us, before resuming the battle. Kyurem accepted and returned to his mine without any further problem. Ash's Ghost Team and the Swords of Justice remained around to make sure Kyurem keeps his word and no human or pokemon get close.

During the battle, after Ash's intense boot camp, Keldeo was able to transform into his Resolute Form. However, Kyurem was still able to encase Keldeo in ice. Not that it mattered, Keldeo broke out of the ice with the use of Secret Sword, in which a glowing sword emerged from his horn. Kyurem and Keldeo fired blasts at each other but Kyurem's blast accidentally got sent towards us. Before Charizard, Lucario, or I could react, Keldeo was there and sliced the blast with Secret Sword, saving us but injuring himself. Keldeo ended up having to yield to Kyurem, ending the battle in favor of the Legendary.

The Swords of Justice praised Keldeo for finally learning the true power of the sword, making him officially the fourth member of the team.

"Still, only two days with Ash and he is capable of learning Sacred Sword and reach his Resolute Form... sometimes I envy those unique and pseudo-legendary pokemon," Charizard grumbled. "We work for years, putting sweat, tears, and blood into growing stronger and bigger. Yet, they only need two days to grow the way they do."

"What are you complaining about?" Lucario chastised him. "You are able to defeat Legendaries on your own without being an unique or pseudo-legendary pokemon, that makes you more awesome than any of them!"

"Thank you kiddo," Charizard chuckled. "What is Ash planning on doing next?"

"Other than training Dewott? Not much," I answered. "We need to get to Opelucid City for the last badge and he wants that to be the last push Dewott needs to evolve into Samurott. His Ice-types moves will be very useful. He is also going to call for Mawile and Sylveon."

"What?! He is going to fight a gym full of dragons and he will not call for me?!" Charizard roared, furious.

"Calm down you oversized lizard," Lucario interrupted Charizard's rant. I almost laughed at Charizard's astonished expression, as he mouthed the words 'oversized lizard' with a grimace. "You are too powerful to call upon a simple gym battle. Even with the Gym Leader's A Team it would be an overkill. You defeated a Latios on your own, for Lugia's sake!"

"He does have a point," I told my old friend. "If you want a battle I am always up for one, if you want a battle with a dragon I am sure Utau's team will love to join you or you can ask Drake's Dragonite to go for another round."

"I know," Charizard sighed. "I just miss being called for tha simple things like a Gym Battle or a Pokemon League."

"You wanted to become strong, this is what it means to be powerful," I reminded him.

"I know that," he snarled in a bad mood. "I just did not know how lonely it was to be on the top."

I did not reply. How could I? Not when I perfectly understood what Charizard meant by that. It especially hit home when we met with a young gym trainer named Cameron. Once upon a time we would have become rapid friends and create a bond of rivals that push each other further. However, now Cameron was too busy fanboying on Ash to create any kind of bond. Not to mention, that when offered with a chance to battle us he blanched and exclaimed about being not powerful enough for that. I knew that Ash tried to hide it, but I knew he was hurt by that comment. He also missed the simple days. We still aided Cameron to reach the Humilau Gym and were there for his eighth gym badge win. However, the one Cameron exchanged numbers with was Max and Iris. He did not even think of trying to get Ash's number, already writting it off as impossible.

Charizard is right, I though sadly as we watched Cameron head off. Being on the top is lonely.
