"So, has he accepted being our spy?" Utau asked me with a frown.
We were at my apartment in Kalos, discussing the future plans of Ash and his Ghost Teams in the region, as his journey in Unova was coming to an end.
"Alain has accepted," I shared with her. "He was convinced after finding out of the deception of Team Flare. He has also given us proof that Malva was working with Team Flare."
"Ah, an Elite Four working for a criminal syndicate," Utau sighed. "A disgrace! We are supposed to be there for our region and aid them, not work against them!"
"Calm down Utau," I told her firmly. "Getting all worked out won't do us any good. What is Ashy's plan? We expose her now?"
"No, he is planning on not letting know he is into them," Utau informed me. "Ash's presence in Kalos will already have Team Flare in guard. If we let them think that they have someone in an influential position of power and that their plan with Alain Is working... well, they will lower their guard. Just like Team Galatic did when they thought things were going as planned."
"That is a good strategy, let's just hope it does not backfire," I commented.
"It's Ash Ketchum," Utau deadpanned. "Has he ever failed us?"
"Good point," I chuckled. "How are things going in Unova?"
"Good," Utau smiled, pleased. "The civilians that were sympathetic have started to see the dark side of Team Plasma. Those who were neutral have sided with those that are against Team Plasma. It has made the work of the rangers in Unova and Ash's Unovan Ghost Team easier. Missions have been going smoother. Not to mention, that they cannot and will not have any of the regions Legendaries." Utau smirked viciously, reminding me why she was an Elite Four Dragon Master. "Meloetta is being guarded by her guardian and Ash's unovan Lieutenant. With her safe, Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus are out of reach and control. As for the dragons, since the beginning of the journey we have kept them safe.
"What about Plan N?" I asked her hesitantely, this spy was in a very precarious situation- I sympathize with the situation.
"As for the Plan N, it's a go," Utau informed me.
"Really?!" I exclaimed shocked. "Wasn't he doubting his decision of joining us?"
"He was, but Ash worked his magic on him," Utau chuckled. "He also met with Reshiram, that was the final blow."
"Yeah, that would shake his foundation," I agreed. "Well that's all we have to talk about, unless you have anything else to say?"
"No..." Utau began but got cut off by my exclamation.
"Shit!" I cursed. "Look at the hour! I have completely missed Max's Top 8 match!" I rapidly turned on the T.V just in tome to see Gigalith end the match against Ferrothorn with a Stone Edge. I took out my computer and checked what people were commenting online. "Oh, Lugia! Why did I missed this?!"
"What? What happened?" Utau asked me in concern.
"Cameron has a Hydregion! He used it from the get go!" I moaned. "It took out Banette with a powerful Dark Pulse, poor Max was not expecting such a pokemon from Cameron. Luckily, Max's Gallade took Hydregion out with a Dazzling Gleam."
"A Hydregion?" Utau turned to the T.V impressed. The T.V showed as Cameron's Riolu took out Gigalith with a Vacuum Wave and a Brick Break conbo. "So young? Not bad, he has talent."
"He does," I agreed. "His Samurott was able to take down Max's Alola Raichu, even with the type-disadvantage. Though, Samurott was later taken down by Meganium..."
"That I was expecting," Utau replied, as Riolu and Gallade were meeting each other in the middle of the battlefield in an intense Close Combat battle, in the T.V. "What I was not expecting is seeing Meganium down."
"Well, Meganium took two pokemon in-a-row, Samurott and Swanna. But Ferrothorn was his end. That Ferrothorn was the end of Meganium and Serperior, before Gigalith was able to take him down."
"Meganium and Serperior?!" Utau turned to me in shock. "H-how... wait, that means that Max is on his last pokemon and Cameron still has two."
"Yeah, that boy really turned the match around," I shook my head, smiling wirly. "And of course, his Riolu would end up evolving during his battle with Gallade!" I sighed. "Poor Max, Ash has infected him with his Ketchum Luck."
Utau laughed, nodding his head in agreement.
Lucario went for an Aura Sphere, which Gallade countered it with Psychic. However, I could see that the battle was done. Gallade, no matter how powerful he is, he was exhausted- he had battled and defeated a Hydregion after all. I sighed as Lucario finally lande a Low Kick and finished the battle with an Aura Sphere.
"He did an incredible job," Utau commented, as we clapped our hands in the privacy of my apartment- Max deserved the respect. "It was his first Pokemon League and he made it so far."
"Top 8 is nothing to scoff at," I agreed. "I ended at Top 32 and Ash at Top 16 on our first Pokemon League. He is very talented and should be proud."
"Well, there's always the next Pokemon League," Utau said.
"Knowing Ash he will take Max with him to Kalos," I told her. "I can't wait for that. Having them in Kalos will be a blast!"
