(hi i know i'm writing vampire REALLY
ooc but i'm gonna say that his laid back personality comes from the alcohol so idk ive accidentally made him like shy and awkward n shit, sorry 😭)
as we arrived back at camp the sky was just beginning to turn orange and pink, and madaline was there to greet us, "welcome back! did you find anything of substance?"
"yeah, we have alot of findings and adventurer made a map of a huge area around here, we'll round up everyone to talk about it." i answered madaline and handed him pancake, who i had been cradling in my arms as he had fallen asleep.
just before we passed the hastily built wooden fence around the camp, someone tugged at my sleeve causing me to jerk back,
"uhm, hey guys, welcome back. can i talk to Y/N in private for a bit?" vampire had appeared behind me,
"yeah of course," i turned back to the group,"guys wait for me to start we'll be there in a bit."
they nodded and kept walking, "so what do you need?" i turned back to vampire, he grabbed my arm and led me a bit farther away from the fence and just into the woods
"well, basically i'm starving to death. uh theres only two things i can eat without it making me vomit." i stared at him in shock,
"well what is it!? you need to eat!" now that i looked at him he was really pale and probably way too skinny.
"the only things i can stomach are alcohol and blood, but i don't wanna drink from anyone here because what if they get freaked out and kick me out?" vampire shifted his weight onto one leg and rubbed his forearm.
without a second thought i pulled back the fingerless glove that stretched to my elbow and held my arm out to him. his eyes flicked from my arm to my face, he was obviously surprised i held it out so quickly.
"but you-"
"hush and eat. i'm not gonna deny you food just because i might think its weird, you can't control that this is the only thing keeping you alive." i cut him off.
after he continued to just stare, i turned my head so he wouldn't feel my eyes on him. after a few seconds i felt a sharp pain in my arm, i tried to not show that it hurt but i couldn't help tensing up.
i relaxed my arm as i didn't want him to feel bad for hurting me.

once vampire had finished, i pulled my glove over the bite and we walked back to the group that madaline had gathered in the middle of camp.
"hi, sorry for the wait, the problem has been resolved." i crouched in between adventurer and custard.
"so first of all, we discovered a safe path up to the top of that cliff," i pointed at said cliff, "second, the forest we're in, is huge and i mean massive, and theres not a single village or town throughout, theres no way a group of us could make it out of these woods in a year," Adventurer handed me the map he had made then rolled up while i was speaking, "however we did make some pretty significant discoveries, first of all that creek," i pointed, "a few other creeks run into it up that way and it forms a river and then it runs into a huge lake, we could get there in three? maybe four hours on foot." i gestured in the direction i was talking about,
"and second, on the opposite side of the mountain," i smiled up at everyone, as i was the only one crouched, "theres a tower, tall and wide enough to house a whole village, and the tower had this big yard and we saw people moving around in it."
"people?! we should send a group out there tomorrow!" madaline stepped forward,
"hold on hold on, lets not be too hasty, this does let us know that we're not the only people out here, and thats great, but travel there would take a day and a half give or take, and once we got there what would we say? what would we do? 'hey we're being mysteriously teleported to a valley out in those woods can you take me home?'" i looked up at madaline
