6.what one really wants

Taehyung wakes up the next morning with a hangover of course. Not too bad but just a dull ache in his head. He had somehow maneuvered the younger on the bed and went to sleep on his own. After tucking Jungkook in of course.

He can't help but recall last night. He gathers his courage and genuinely questions himself, what is it that he feels for Jungkook? He looks back to all the time they spent together, with the whole group or alone. He smiles as he remembers their most recent interaction and thinks, the way Jungkook treats him hasn't changed at all even after the confession.

[Flashback (recent interaction): ]

"Jungkook-ah please make some breakfast for me" a sleepy and pouty Taehyung asks Jungkook. And how could Jungkook ever deny that pout.

Jungkook just smiles and says, "Of course, hyung."

And Jungkook roasts pork belly for him, just like Taehyung likes it, thoroughly cooked and even though it takes a lot of time to cook it, Jungkook does it without any complaint, rather he has a content smile on his lips.

[End of flashback]

Taehyung thinks about just how patient Jungkook has been with him, always. Even the times when they fought, though fighting with each other was rare, it was unavoidable with the amount of time they spent with each other.

"Let's just take some time to think our actions over, hyung, okay?" Jungkook would say and then they'd spend the day without talking to each other. At night either of them would go to the other's bedroom and both apologised, talked things over, made up and ended up cuddling in bed.

Sometimes Jungkook acts like he is the 'hyung'. Taehyung had replayed their past moments countless times. What was strange, however, was how it made him feel this time. His heart fluttered? Something close to it.

He is attracted to Jungkook, there is no denying it. He didn't even ponder upon the possibility of him liking men but here he is- facing an 'I-am-attracted-to-Jungkook-crisis' and it's too early in the morning to deal with it.

Taehyung has locked himself in the washroom cubicle, hands behind his back clutching the knob tightly as if someone would barge in if he didn't hold onto it. He's panting, half because of practice and half because of how fast he ran to the washroom. He is, however, quite sure about why his face is all red, there only seems to be only one reason these days and it's Jeon Jungkook.

They have been practicing Blood, Sweat & Tears and his only mistake was making eye contact with Jungkook while he thrusted his hip upward. He almost got weak in the knees but he's a professional, he didn't buckle and give in, he carried on smoothly, after so many years of practice he'd be disappointed in himself if he didn't.

He splashes his face with cold water hoping to get rid of the flare of his cheeks. He rushes back to practice, thanking the universe that they won't be doing Blood, Sweat and Tears again today.

Jungkook noticed the way Taehyung rushed out of their practice room and how he looked almost flustered when he rushed out. He considered going after him but decided against it. He thinks it's better to not spend time alone together after the recent incident of him almost kissing Taehyung square on the lips.

Jungkook was drunk that night but he could swear Taehyung was flustered, he just knew it. After that night he cannot trust himself around Taehyung when they're alone because alcohol digs out the deepest of one's desires and puts it out for the whole world to see and Jungkook's world has seen enough of his desires, any more and Taehyung might really cut him off.

What bothers Jungkook is that Taehyung has started to wear the flustered expression all the time. His mind goes to places that it shouldn't- does Taehyung have a crush? Or does he already have a lover who I don't know about? These thoughts only hurt him.

Little does he know Taehyung does have a crush and it's painfully obvious to all members except Jungkook about who the crush is.
