7. crush

Jungkook is thinking a lot about Taehyung, not that it's something new but he's specifically thinking about Taehyung's behaviour these days.

He looks at his phone all day long and blushes. He is dazed, almost as if daydreaming. He religiously avoids Jungkook and gets embarrassed when the younger gets caught staring at him.

Jungkook cannot lose what he's had with Taehyung over what he could have gotten with him. He'll figure it out later- whatever's got Taehyung blushing at his phone. His first priority is knowing why he is avoiding him and he has an idea on how to do that. The only problem will be that they will have to be alone when Jungkook confronts him.

Taehyung has found a new hobby. Watching Jungkook fancams, edits and cute/ sexy moments compilation whenever he can. Whenever, literally, even during their breaks from practice and promotions and shoots, in the room full of people. He can be sneaky when he wants to.

When Jungkook didn't kiss him he couldn't confirm his feelings, he was stuck, he needed a different way out. So he went online of course. He went as far as searching: how to know if you have a crush on a celebrity because how to know if you have a crush on your bff didn't work.. And there it was, the answer to all his questions when user: kpopluvr7 had replied 'watch their fancams and if your heart flutters or you blush, you have your answer'- to a similar question.

Taehyung confirmed it in the first video, when his heart wouldn't calm down and when his cheeks threatened to burst in flames at any given moment but suddenly he couldn't stop watching Jungkook so he continued- 'no point in torturing myself and stop watching' he had justified.

And well, Taehyung wasn't stupid, he knew that it might as well be a celebrity crush and not an actual one but the way he behaved around Jungkook these days was an answer enough of what his real feelings were, all he needed was a push to confirm it, the courage to accept it.

The only problem was his shyness, he had always been shy around people he was attracted to and he decided he was too young to burst in flames or melt in a puddle when around Jungkook and die. He doesn't know how to act around people who he has a crush on. So, he avoided him, as much as he could.

Jungkook has it all figured out, he has no choice but to corner Taehyung if he wants to confront him, he knows how slippery the older is, he can get away with almost anything if he is set on it.

But today, Jungkook is more determined and he will get an answer out of Taehyung. Definitely. He will give Taehyung a chance to admit it on his own but if he denies it or tries to slip away he will have no other choice but to put him in a tight spot.

Jungkook doesn't show it but it tears his heart apart when Taehyung avoids him, he thinks he has finally done it- made Taehyung feel awkward around him and no amount of cursing his Jeju-beach-self can dampen the hurt that courses through him. He doesn't want to lose Taehyung and that's all he'll ever want.

Jungkook's first attempt is when they are in the middle of a photoshoot, as everyone goes to check how the photos turned out, Jungkook holds Taehyung back and asks him directly, "Why are you avoiding me, hyung?"

Jungkook had held Taehyung by his wrist and he let go as soon as its purpose was served- stopping Taehyung. Taehyung tried not to pout at such a brief contact of Jungkook's palm to his wrist but he's also relieved that he didn't hold it because then he would blush and probably blurt out something stupid.
