C.07

Regina's POV

I never felt so nervous, not even when I took the BAR exam, not even on my first case. Never been this nervous. It's not like all of this is real, pero somehow, kinakabahan pa din ako and I blame Narda for this.

I parked my car just outside Narda's hospital, it's a huge one, the biggest among the hospitals here.

Flashbacks on our conversations years ago came flooding my mind.

Flashback

I woke up late this morning and I feel like magkakasakit ako. I had to skip breakfast prepared by the people sa bahay since I'm running late.

As usual, it was Narda na naghihintay sa'kin sa labas ng room ang nakita ko.

She was smiling at me, like usual.

"Regina! Good morning." she says, greeting me and I just nodded at her.

I have no energy to even roll my eyes at her, I feel so tired. Mukhang wala pa si sir kaya dumeretso na ako sa loob ng room.

Walking my way towards my seat and our shared table, I felt her following behind me.

"wala si sir ngayon, absent siya and attendance lang chineck, alam ko namang papasok ka so pinalagay ko pa din name mo."

"thank you Narda." I said as I try my best to smile at her.

Thank God, my head hurts like hell I cannot at all possibly comprehend lessons, unless I sleep more. I need to sleep, so I decided to just do it.

"kumain ka na ba?" she asks, God, Narda please stop talking to me kahit ngayon lang.

"oh, wala ka sa mood." she said as I felt her seat beside me.

It was silence from her after that. The whole room is noisy and somehow, I feel calm.

"tap your right foot twice pag d ka pa kumain, Regina." she suddenly said kaya even when I feel so damn tired, ginawa ko pa din.

"so late ka nagising? hay, nag-advance reading ka na naman siguro kagabi kaya late ka nakatulog..." she spoke then silence after.

"pero teka, kahit naman late ka makatulog, never ka naman na late ah." she said, God, she is starting to sound so worried of me.

Inangat ko ang ulo ko at tinignan siya, "shit! 'yung itsura mo..may sakit ka ba?!" she whisper yells at me sabay nilapat 'yung palm niya sa noo ko.

"you're hot!" she whisper yells once again that somehow made me smirk.

"I know." I manage to say.

"takte, you are hot yes, but ibang hot 'to..may sinat ka, lagnat." she said and I cannot hold it in anymore kaya yumuko nalang ulit ako. Sleep....

"punta tayong clinic." she said and I felt her stand kaya napa angat ulit ako ng ulo ko as I tried to hold her hand.

"stay." I said as I lock eyes with her.

"I just need sleep, Narda. Please. Just stay." I said and her eyes speaks so much care I feel like I'm melting.

"sige, pero pag second subject na tas d ka pa okay, pupunta tayong clinic." she said at umupo ulit sa tabi ko.

I don't wish to argue with her at this time kaya tumango nalang ako.

"okay, sige na, matulog ka, ito oh." she said sabay hinubad niya yung jacket na suot niya as she folded it, "up muna saglit." she said na ginawa ko naman, even when ang bigat na ng ulo ko.
