Regina's POV

It's been almost a week since Narda and I last saw each other. Pareho kaming naging busy sa trabaho.

The piled cases and things I have to study and look into almost got out of control. I can't even remember when was the last time I had enough sleep, though may enough sleep pa ba sa trabaho ko?

A knock on my door made me stop from reading some files sa laptop ko, "come in." I said and waited for the person to come in.

"Regina. Hindi ka pa din talaga umuuwi." It was Ali who came who looked like may dalang kape. I can smell the aroma even from where I'm seated.

"I have many things to do Ali." I said as I gestured the whole paperworks sa mesa ko.

"which wouldn't be a problem in the first place kung hindi ka puro Brian." he said as he closed the door.

I rolled my eyes at him, "Ali, now is not the right time para sermonan mo ako." I said as he handed me the coffee.

"nag-aalala lang kami sa'yo ni Xandra..ever since nakita natin si Brian with Narda, it's like you're completely a new person. kung ano-ano na ginagawa mo at pina-plano." he said as I sip from my coffee.

"you make it sound like I'm going crazy Ali." I said as I put the coffee down at nagbasa na ulit.

"hindi pa ba?" he asked and I stopped in my tracks as I glared at him.

"hindi ako mababaliw sa isang gaya ni Brian, Ali." I said and he stares at me, trying to study me.

"eh ano ang ginagawa mo Regina?" he asks.

"binabawi ang dapat sakin." I answered as I stared straight into his eyes.

"be responsible sa damdamin na masasaktan mo Regina." he said as he starts to walk away.

"at magpahinga ka din." he said bago tuluyang lumabas ng pinto.

"Regi, nagkausap kami ni Ali.. hindi ka pa daw umuwi?" Xandra asks the moment she entered my office.

It had been more than three hours since Ali came to bring me coffee and ever since, mas lalo kung binilisan ang trabaho ko.

As selfish and pasaway as I am, I know him and Xandra are just worried for me. Kailangan ko lang at least tapusin pa ang pagre-review sa dalawang cases then I can finally rest na.

"yes, hindi pa." I said as I continued what I was doing.

"magpahinga ka kaya muna." she said as she closes my laptop.

I looked at her at tinaasan siya ng kilay, "I have last 2 cases and pwede na akong umuwi to rest, Xan." I said at binuksan ulit ang laptop.

"leave that to Ali and me." she said sabay sinara ulit ang laptop ko.

The door to my office opened at pumasok si Ali, "tapos na kami ni Xandra sa ginagawa namin. we can help you na." he said sabay lumapit sa table ko as he picks up my bag.

"technically, it's Xandra muna na mauuna since ihahatid pa kita." he said as Xandra pulls me up.

I just stared at them two, processing their words.

"send namin sa'yo ni Ali ang details nung cases tonight." Xandra says as she hands me my phone.

"para ka ng zombie..sa tingin mo, magugustuhan ka ni Narda na ganyan itsura mo?" she said as she chuckles.

I shook my head at her, "she'll accept whatever I look like no matter what. she'll even think I still look beautiful." sagot ko.

I mean, it's true though. Narda never once made me feel ugly even in my darkest times. Even when I look really ugly to the point na I hate seeing my own reflection.

She's always the one to make me feel like I'm the most beautiful person sa buong mundo.

"tama na 'yan, ngumingiti ka na mag-isa..delikado ka na." he said as he came near me.

I glared at him bago nagsalita, "I'm not falling for Narda."

Then suddenly, tumawa silang dalawa ni Xandra while looking at me as if I've grown two more heads.

"what?!" I asked, annoyed.

"wala kaming sinabi na nahuhulog ka na kay Narda, Regi." Xandra answered.

"sabi ko lang, delikado ka na..I meant it in a way na baka talagang nababaliw ka na." Ali said habang tumatawa pa din.

Xandra and him even did a high five. The audacity?

"ewan ko sa inyo!" I said sabay agaw ng bag ko kay Ali.

"uuwi ako mag-isa!" I added as I walked out from my office.

How dare they make fun of me?! Tss.

I did not wait for Ali to follow me as I immediately went out na talaga, nasa labas na ako ng building when I caught sight of a familiar figure.

"Narda?" I asked as I walk closer sa babaeng nakatayo sa tabi ng isang sasakyan.

When I got a better view, that's when I confirmed that it's really her. Bigla namang nag ring ang phone na hawak ko so I answered it.

"Regina?"

"hey Narda, may kailangan ka?"

I asked as I stopped walking.

"ano..ahm, nasa labas ako ng building niyo..nakita ko kotse mo andito pa. ahm, d ka pa uuwi?"

I observe her actions and it made me smile. Still the same Narda from years ago. Kamot-kamot niya batok niya as a sign that she's nervous.

Slowly, I moved back inside the building. Kung san hindi niya agad ako makikita.

"really? pauwi palang ako, actually, palabas na ako."

I said, lying. I honestly don't know why I had to trouble myself with going back a couple steps but I guess it's worth it seeing how her eyes lit up as it caught mine.

Saktong-sakto kasi na nagmukhang kakalabas ko lang the moment she looked behind her, kung san ako nakatayo.

"you look beautiful."

I almost laughed at how ironic the situation is. I was right. She'd still think I'm beautiful.

"and you look like you're in love with me."

I said as I walk towards her. She ended the call and waved her hand at me, holding her phone.

I laughed at her reaction.

It's how I always answer her whenever she says I look beautiful.

"now, don't get ahead of yourself Regina. ikaw ang nanliligaw sa'kin." she said when I stopped in front of her as I chuckled.

Now she looks cute. God. She's everything in one.

"what brings you here?" I asked as I checked my watch for the time.

"we've been busy lately, naisip ko lang na baka gusto mo akong....makita?" she said, or more like asked and I laughed.

"God. Narda." I said after I calmed down.

Really. This sunshine does not deserve me nor Brian.
