- 11 - SHE GOES FIRST -

•3rd person's P.O.V•

"Are you feeling okay?" Zendaya, one of Tom's closest friends, query's him when she notices the downing look on his face.

He's been like this all day and it's started to worry her. A guy like him who's always energetic and happy, it was impossible to not notice whenever he was not himself.

The British actor looks up from his phone and nods. "Yeah, of course."

For Zendaya he doesn't sound at all convincing. "You know I'm here if you need to talk, right? About anything."

Tom knew she just wanted to help, but this wasn't something she could help, let alone, know about.

"I'm fine, Z. It's all okay." patting her hand on his shoulder he continues to scroll down his phone screen. He's been thinking about suggesting good therapists in London for Katrina.

After the abrupt overflowing of emotions she had last time, he knows that he can't be the only one who can help her. He wants the love of his life to be okay, and as hard as he's trying, Katrina needs more help than he can provide.

Talking with Kylie, she's suggested a good therapist that has a high potential of helping Katrina. His beautiful finacée whom he has seen deteriorate with the passing days.

The desire to be at home with her, give her the company she needs is strong, but his line of work is just as demanding. He can't risk saying he's sick when nobody can even suspect what is really going on behind the closed doors of his home.

He's even had the urge to tell his manager he'll not be attending the interviews that come with finishing the upcoming Spider-man movie. Tell everyone he'll be absent and give no excuses.

Be there with his son, Peter, who hasn't stopped feeling guilty about the incident with his mom. Tom has tried convincing him that it wasn't all his fault, but nothing works.

He continues to beg to sleep with them at night as he cuddles his mother so tightly Tom has to sometimes remove him from suffocating her when he's deeply asleep. They both put her in the middle when usually it's their son in the center.

Katrina needs them both and they know it. Making her feel as if she's their sun in their orbit might just be enough to make her feel better.

Help her find the strength to pull through this damp hole she's unwillingly been sucked into.

Tom sighs and turns off his phone. Puts his left hand to mouth as he rubs his bottom lip deep in thought. Zendaya observes him, she knows her friend. Something is bothering him.

She understands he doesn't want people involved, but her worry is he won't be able to handle whatever problem has crawled up on him.

"Tom?" she calls him minutes before going into the next interview where he'll have to pretend to be happy for the world when in reality he seems consumed into gloom.

The kind father looks over. "Mhm?"

"I don't know what is bothering you and I understand you want to keep it to yourself," her smile was as kind and reassuring as ever. "But you'll pull through. I believe you will. No problem is strong enough to knock you down for life. I've seen you be the light in life for other people, I'd hate to see it dim. It will get better, trust me."

The kindest words from Zendaya hit him and suddenly he's feeling an unknown wave of hope. As if what he needed was something to believe in him to gain the strength to help Katrina and this boost of hope has him jumping off his seat.

"I need you to do me a favor." he voices, making her nod immediately.

"Anything."

He looks around and detaches the mic that had already been attached to his clothes for the interview. "I need you to say I'm sick and gone home. It's unprofessional I know, but I really need to be somewhere else." he's got these big hopeful dow eyes she can only respond with a nod.

"Go."

That's all he needed before he's rushing out of the backstage room and sneaking his way to the exit. Nothing is more important than Katrina. Nothing is more valuable than his small family. No matter if he gets heavily scolded for bolting out without warning, his Katrina is first.

Always.
