The next few weeks were fast and busy. Your father's funeral, Mihawk taking over the company, and Zoro and your relationship growing more steady were among the many things you had on your plate. Finally, though, you were able to enjoy a single day alone in the house. You had cleaned to perfection after the mess had bugged you the whole time, knowing Zoro and you had both tried to keep the house up but failed with your busy schedules. Your laundry was done and put away, dishes dried and cupboarded, and the carpet shampooed and vacuumed. You had just sat down and propped your feet onto the coffee table when Zoro walked in from getting off of work.

"I'm home!" He shouts. It takes a couple of seconds before he appeared in front of the couch to lean down and kiss you hello. "It looks amazing in here, by the way." You smiled proudly.

"It better look great," You joke. "I busted my ass all day."

"It really shows." He disappears into the bedroom and clears his throat while changing out of his work uniform. "I'll make dinner tonight, you just relax." You pondered the offer but quickly frowned.

"I just did the dishes," You whined. "Let's eat out tonight." He emerges from the hallway again and shrugs as he takes a seat beside you on the small sofa.

"Alright, if that's what you want."

"Honestly, I haven't been feeling great today and food sounds gross right now. I'm pretty sure it's just from me working all day." You had moments where you'd skip a few days without eating a proper meal, but Zoro being around cut that habit quickly.

"That's fine," He replies. "We can eat light tonight."

"I wanted to see the boys, too, since the last time I saw Chopper was at Dad's funeral, but I just cleaned, and Luffy..." You trailed and Zoro only chuckled.

"I get it," He mutters. "We can invite them over later in the week, alright?" You nod before the room falls into a comfortable silence. Zoro's arms reach out and engulf you quietly, forcing you into his chest. You didn't protest nor pull away, melting into the position between his thighs and against his broad torso.

"It feels good to just lay here with you," You whisper. He hums in response and rests his head on the nook of your neck.

"It does," He agrees. "I feel like we have only seen each other in bed lately."

"Well, it is sale season at the auto shop so I've been picking up extra shifts and Garp doesn't exactly schedule me good hours. Also, there was the funeral, paperwork with Uncle, and your own family opening up another shop, leaving you shorthanded here." He nods at your words. "This is the first time we could actually relax." You leaned back further into him, feeling your body aching from the strenuous activities of the day. Zoro's hand pulled up and was placed against your forehead, making you furrow your brow.

"Are you sure you're feeling okay?" He questions. "You feel a bit warm."

"I think I overworked myself today." You lean forward, going to stand up. "I'll just pop a Tylenol and I'll be fine." He hums in concern, but he doesn't argue.

"Alright," He grumbles in slight distrust of your words. "I'll order the food then." You stood up and headed towards the bathroom to grab the Tylenol, suddenly realizing just how much you did overwork yourself. You wobbled a bit on the path to the medicine, but you made it without falling and popped open the lid. You shook out two tablets and closed the medicine back up before looking in the mirror at what once was the recessed cabinet. You gasped slightly, seeing just how pale you did look.

"I really need some rest..." You trailed after muttering to yourself. You popped the two tablets with a cup of water from the sink before exiting to return to the sofa.
