"UH, why are there two girls passed out on the couch?" My mom asked, walking into the living room.

I jumped "They haven't woken up yet. Oh look, they're moving."

I ran to the couch where Kaiya and Macin lay. Kaiya scrunched up her nose and swatted at it with her hand, like a cat. What the heck?

"That's normal for her," a voice said behind me. I jumped, yet again, and turned around. Andy. Oh, right,  I forgot he was even here.

I laughed lightly. "Oh." Then I remembered what my dad said about them not being safe around humans. "Uhm. Hey. My brother said he wanted to take you for some male-bonding time. With my dad. Yeah. " Quick thinking, Alyxx. Your father will keep Eryk from hurting Andy.

Andy looked shocked, "Really?"

I nodded. "Yep. Since you live here and all. They should be in here soon..." I trrailed off and sent a thought-message to my father. 'You and Eryk need to take Andy to the movies or something for male-bonding. Like, now.'

Only seconds later, my father came strolling through the front door, Eryk in tow.  "Who is up for some movies?" Eryk shouted like an overavtive teen boy.

"Sure, yeah." Andy shot me a smile and gave me a quick peck on the cheek. "See you later, Alyxx."  With that, the three guys left, leaving me alone with my two vampire friends. Who were waking up.

"Good Morning," Macin yawned, stretching. Her foot accidently hit Kaiya in the face, who hissde and the next thing i knew, they were rolling around on the floor, growling menacingly at each other.

"Woah!" I quickly pulled Kaiya off of Macin. The girl struglled a bit before calming down. Macin ran her fingers through her hair in an attempt to fix it.

Kaiya turned to look at me. " Who the hell are you?"

" I'm-Oh my Gosh!" I peered closely at her. Her eyes....they had changed. Before they have been a piercing blue color. Now they were a bright amethyst color with shimmering flecks of silver. I glanced over at Macin. Her eyes mirrored Kaiya's.

"Why the hell are you staring at us?" Kaiya asked. "And who are you?" She backed away and stood beside Macin, each of them trying to protect the other.

Macin sniffed the air. "You smell like death. You're not human are you?"

I shook my head slightly and cleared my throat. "You don't remember me?"

"They will eventually." my mother said, reminding me that she was in the room. "The amnesia should go away in an hour or so."

"But they know I'm nt human and seem to know they aren't either."

My mother shrugged. "Paranormal stuff doesn't make sense, honey. From what your father told me, they'll take a nap, wake up, and be like nothing happened. Then you'll have to explain."

I sighed, "Great."

So I spent the next two hours trying to explain to the two girls that I wouldn't hurt them, but they continued ti ciwer on the couch. Eventually, Kaiya grabbed a couch cushion and snuggled with it and fell asleep. Macin did so much less gracefully, with half of her torso hanging off the couch.

I let out a breath of relief. They'd remember me when they woke up!

"Alyxx?" I turned when I heard Kaiya's feeble voice. She was awake already. And she was staring at me with those fraky-cool eyes.

"Yeah?"

She yawned, "Why did we fall asleep on your couch?"

"Oh, uhm..." I sighed. Might as well tell the truth now. "You died."

I heard Macin laugh tiredly and notcied she was awake too. " Odd joke, Alyxx."

I grimaced. " It's not a joke. My brother killed you, and i brought you back." The two girls stared at me in utter confusion and disbelief. I let out another sigh. "We have a lot to talk about."
