"I think I'm getting my new schedule today." Timothy said as they walk at an even pace toward the school, stopping only once at a local coffee shop Michelle loves.
"Yeah? That'd be great, I need someone cool in my gym class." She responds, taking a sip of her coffee.
"I can't believe they bought my excuse honestly, it was the fakest shit I swear..." Timothy trails off when he notices something red on one of the rooftops across the street.
"Oh my god Michelle!" He cries dramatically, stopping dead in his tracks, "do my eyes deceive me or is that Spider-Man?" he points at the red thing he had spotted and Michelle narrows her eyes at it briefly before turning back to her brother.
"How many times have I asked you to just call me MJ Timmy?"
"Fine, MJ look! It's Spider-Man!""Yep, that is indeed Spider-Man, can we go now?"
Timothy ignores her, instead proceeding to wave at (what he assumed was) the masked hero he idolizes. His arm straight up in the air, waving in broad strokes. He just about had a heart attack when the hero copied his actions.
"MJ did you see that? Spider-Man just waved at me!"
"Yes, I'm unfortunately right here watching you wave at him. I'm not blind Timothy."Timothy rolls his eyes before making a heart sign with his hands towards Spider-man and then, once again, following MJ towards the school, unaware of the effect the interaction had on the superhero.
Timothy entered his first period AP Physics class without his new schedule, so rightfully, he was upset when he dropped into his chair next to MJ, mentally preparing for another horrific day without being in her gym class.
The bell rings. Five minutes later the door is pushed open by a boy with chestnut hair and pretty chocolate eyes. He instantly catches Timothy's eye, and Timothy can't help but wonder why he's never seen this cute boy before.
"Ah, Mr.Parker, you're five minutes late again. Any particular reason why?" The teacher turns away from the board and faces the boy, who instantly blushes a deep shade of pink in embarrassment.
"N-no, just slept in, sir. Sorry again..." Is the only thing he says before heading to his seat, eager to escape all of the unwanted attention he is receiving
The teacher only sighed before turning back toward the board, continuing the lesson as if nothing had happened. This has to be normal. How hasn't Timothy noticed this before?
"Pssst, MJ?" Timothy whispers.
"Yeah?"
"That guy that just walked in, do you know him?""Why? You think he's cute or something?" MJ smirked, her gaze briefly shifting away from her book and over to her brother.
"Come on MJ, you know I'm saving myself for Spider-Man. I just want to know his name is all." Timothy jokes, causing MJ to roll her eyes, that smirk still not leaving her face.
"I'm starting to think your obsession with Spider-Man is becoming a bit unhealthy." She quips.
"It's not!"
"Mr. Jones," Timothy's head snaps up immediately at the sound of the teacher's voice, "I understand if you don't feel the need to pay attention in my class. I mean, if you already know everything, why bother right?"The jab at Timothy's lackluster grade does not go over the teens head.
"Right sir!" He unnecessarily responds, triggering a few sniggers from his fellow classmates.
The teacher's eye twitched in clear annoyance, but nevertheless, he continued with his point.
"Please do not disrupt the learning around you with your frivolous talk about Spider-Man nonsense."
"Ouch, why you gotta out me like that teach?"
Before anyone could say or do anything in response, the secretary's voice was on the loudspeaker for a quick announcement at the perfect timing."Can we please have Timothy Rey-Jones to the office please? I repeat, Timothy Rey-Jones to the office please? Thank you."
"Yep!" The teacher calls to the speaker on the wall, before turning back toward the board once again, dismissing Timothy, who bolts out of the classroom and returns in record time with his new schedule.
