Timothy stood in the kitchen with MJ, waiting as patiently as he could for something exciting to happen.

"Why the hell did you drag me here again?" MJ, who had to lean against him and yell for him to hear her properly, asked. Only then did she look up from her book and scan her surroundings.

"Because it's good for you to get out of the house, and I didn't want to come alone." Timothy responded, a real smile finally finding his face.

MJ's small smile met his before she turned to the toaster and pulled two freshly toasted pieces of bread from it.

"Jam sir?"

"Strawberry please."

At that exact moment Peter and Ned arrived. Peter was a ball of all sorts of anxiety, and Timothy could definitely tell.

"Hey Peter!" He smiled, making the poor spider teen's heart skip a beat.

"Hi Timothy."

"I can't believe you guys are at this lame party." MJ drawled while spreading the jam across Timothy's toast.

"But you're here too." Ned observed.

"Am I?" Michelle asked mysteriously, before turning and walking away, leaving her brother alone with the two and Liz, who had just shown up to welcome them to the party.

"Hey guys!" She wore her usual bright toothy smile, and because of it, Timothy saw Peter visabley relax. "Cool hat Ned." She complemented the shorter boy.

"Hi Liz."

"Hey Liz."

Peter and Ned both spoke at the same time, Peter's smile brightening.

All because of her.

"I'm so happy you guys came! There's Pizza and drinks in the kitchen, help yourselves to anything you want though."

Timothy didn't know what came over him, but he suddenly found himself near a door, purposely pushing over an expensive looking vase that shattered on the ground upon impact. He couldn't help the small smirk that crawled its way on to his lips, the one that widened when he heard footsteps hurriedly getting closer as he walked away, back to the kitchen where he saw Peter and Ned once again.

"I'm sooo glad you guys could make it." He sighed out in relief when he approached the two of them.

Peter jumped at his sudden presence, especially when he was interrupting a pretty confidential conversation.

"I'm sorry, am I interrupting?" He asked the startled boy, not wanting to impose on any private conversation they may be having.

"N-"

"Hey Penis Parker!" The voice of Flash Thompson interrupted then, causing all three boys to roll their eyes in annoyance, "What's up?" This loud honking sound was played on the stereo system. "Where's your buddy Spider-Man Penis? No wait, let me guess, he's in Canada with your imaginary girlfriend." He plays the honking noise again, and for some reason people start to laugh. "That's not Spider-Man, that's Ned in a red shirt!" More laughter, Timothy scowled, willing only for Flash to shut the fuck up. "What's next? You're going to try telling me Timothy is Tony Stark?"

"Shut the fuck up Flash!" Timothy cussed over the laughter, not noticing when Peter backed away from the group and exited the building all together.

How embarrassing.

How embarrassing.

HOW EMBARRASSING!

In Front of EVERYBODY!

In Front of TIMOTHY!

How could he let this happen?

Peter found himself on Liz's roof pulling on his Spider suit and trying to figure out what exactly he would say when Spider-Man showed up.

"Hey, what's up? I'm Spider-Man. Just thought I'd swing by and say hello to my buddy Peter. Oh, hey, what's up Ned? Where's Peter man, he must be around..."

Peter sighed, discouraged.

"God this is stupid. What am I doing here?"

"The hell if I know."

Peter jumped, suddenly very aware of a presence behind him. He whipped around to face a worried Timothy and began to wonder just how long he had been standing there. How did he get up here at all?"

"I used to be best friends with the person that lives here, There's a secret way of getting to the roof. She showed me once."

"O-oh... How long have you been standing there?"

"Just got up here, only heard the end of your speech." Timothy shot Peter his cute little smirk, "Don't worry, I didn't hear anything important." Timothy's eyes began to roam the ground below him. "Speaking of importance, did you see Peter anywhere? He kind of vanished into thin air."

Important?

Peter's heart took a leap.

Timothy Rey-Jones thought he was important.

"Yeah, I actually did."

Timothy's attention immediately snapped to the web slinging hero, a hero that couldn't help but bask in that attention.

"He left, said something about the party being lame, and some jerk named Flash gave him a hard time."

Timothy rolled his eyes at that name again.

"Yeah Flash was making fun of him because he thought Peter was lying when he said he knew you." he crossed his arms, "I knew he wasn't lying though."

"Really? How?"

Timmy shrugged.

"I just knew."

"Oh..."

It was quiet for a second.

"I wish I could have gotten his number." Timothy spoke, his eyes giving the yard another one over, "see if he's alright."

"I could check for you."

Timothy turned his attention back toward the hero.

"Really?" His eyebrows raised slightly, "you'd do that?"

"Of course, It's in the job description." He joked.

Timothy chuckled at that.

"I guess... I just can't believe I'm meeting you." He ran a hand through his hair, disbelief clouding his expression, "I can't wait to rub it into Michelle's face."

The hero let out a breath of a laugh before silence fell over the two again, both boys enjoying this momentary interaction with a crush.

Until Timothy cleared his throat.

" So, you probably better get to that party man, if you want to help Peter out and all."

"And where will you be going then?"

"I'm going to find my sister and head home." Timothy began to make his way over to the edge of the rooftop, "I got what I came here for, now I get to go. Thank you." He shot his hero a smile before stepping down on a window sill and lowering the rest of his body onto it.

"Anytime."

"Alright well, it was great meeting you. Life changing evan. I will remember this moment for the rest of my life."

Timothy couldn't tell, but the boy beneath the mask's face slowly started turning the color of his suit.

"It was nice meeting you as well." He responded with a smile of his own.

"Maybe we'll meet again, however unlikely the odds may be." Timothy sighed out dramatically, his eyes alight with happiness as he ducked into Liz's bedroom and left Spider-Man standing there...

And that's when Peter noticed the blue light in the distance...
