"will you be okay?" I grinned "I will be fine but I will be missing you and as soon as I know what's going on, I will either call or run back here" Austin crashed his lips on mine as his hand moved to the back of my neck. 'i don't want to go. I never want to go but I know I have to' pulling away, Austin put his forehead on mine. "I love you" "I love you".

Arriving back at the house, when I entered I sighed 'she is here' "hi jadee" I grinned "hi Matthew. Good weekend?" "It was wonderful" "no thanks.." "Monica. I have already stated it's not your business nor your conversation. I do believe we need to chat" I grinned "I think so too".
"We will leave you both to talk" Mathew nodded and I moved away from the door, not wanting to be close to Monica. "If you weren't such a bitch.." "leave this house" Patrick looked my way "been well jadee?" "I have and you?" "Very. It's good to see you" "and you too. Safe travels Patrick" Patrick grinned as they both walked out. "Would you like to join me at the table?" "Want a beer Matthew?" Matthew inhaled a deep breath "sure" I grinned and walked to the kitchen. Grabbing us both a beer, I then walked back out and sat down at the table. When Matthew sat silent, I Internally grinned. "Matthew, it's nothing to be upset about. I know that you wanted this marriage in hopes we could have a relationship" Matthew looked at me with apologetic eyes "don't do that. You have all rights to feel happiness. How long have you been seeing Melanie?" Matthew put his head down "four months" "why did you put your head down?" "We are married and I have been seeing Melanie" "can you look at me?" When Matthew raised his head, I grinned "does she make you happy?" "Yes" "is she always on your mind?, Makes you smile, laugh, feel loved.." Matthew nodded "I met her one day while out walking. She's intelligent, sweet and always makes my day" I grinned "it's nothing to be ashamed about Matthew. I know we are married and I know that.. I know I have made you feel like crap. You had all these hopes but.." "I'm not the man for you" I nodded "look I have always stood by my word that you are a good person but we are completely different. What I want in life and what you want, they aren't the same. I was thrown into this marriage with a three week warning. It's not that I am against you. One thing dad was right about is you are a good man and I know that you care and can treat me with respect. We have been living in this house for over a year. You haven't treated me like crap and you have cared but there's no romantic feelings" Matthew nodded as a small grin sat on his face "you haven't made me feel like crap. I understand you were put in a position you didn't want to be in. Your father may have told you that but it's not true. Yes the honeymoon didn't go as I had hoped but deep down I knew it wouldn't. When they aren't around, you are a good person. You have backed me a couple of times when they just came in and tried to take control. What happened on Friday?" "Monica and mom and dad came here trying to stop me from leaving" "Monica?" I nodded "she thinks that just like them she can try to control me. You and Patrick need to be careful when she is around. She changed quite quickly and she may again" "I have seen different sides of her. I am aware. I'm not sure if Patrick is though" I nodded. "Mom was charged with possession of drugs" Matthew put his head down "I worked it out myself. Even if they did try, I wouldn't do that" "I know. does Melanie know of your situation?" "Yes. When I had seen you down the street with her, I told her the truth" "is she okay?" Matthew grinned "she is but just like I, she was very surprised on how you handled it" I grinned "I'm not your enemy Matthew. I am glad you have found your happiness. If she is it, then go for it. I won't stand in your way" Matthew showed a small grin "so what do we do?" "Well I think that we should just be friends.." when the door opened, I shook my head "this needs to stop" I Internally grinned. "Once again you are both at the table together. Is this a positive?" Matthew and I looked at each other with small grins "it is.." "that's great news. I knew.." "we are getting a divorce" "WHAT?" 'im so proud of him' "jadee and I have so many differences and want different things in life. Just like I, she likes someone else" I grinned "it's just not right to have this marriage stand in the way of our happiness. Jadee and I.." Matthew looked at me "are friends" I grinned "we are" "and I'm sure after this experience we will be life time friends but we have both agreed that this is not what we want" "THIS IS NOT OKAY.." "if you are unhappy with the situation then please leave. Jadee and I have much to discuss" dad clenched his hands "THIS IS ALL YOU. ALL YOU HAVE DONE.." "THIS IS BOTH OF US. I LIKE SOMEONE ELSE. I WANT TO SEE WHERE IT GOES. JADEE HAS BEEN RIGHT ALL ALONG. WE ARE NOT COMPATIBLE AS A PARTNERSHIP. WHAT WE ARE, IS FRIENDS. I WANT MY HAPPINESS AND SO DOES JADEE. DO NOT PUT THIS ON JADEE. ITS A MUTUAL DECISION" dad put his head down "this is what you want?" "Yes and so does jadee. We are better off as friends" I grinned "I do agree. I think we need to sort this out. It may take time. They will put us through counselling" "counselling?" I nodded "yes. A year but hopefully they see within the first session that we have agreed to this and we can move on as just friends" Matthew beamed a smile. "I will inquire about it tomorrow" "have you spoken with your parents about this?" "I don't believe I need to. This is my life and it's time I get to have my happiness" dad looked my way and I sipped on my beer "cheers to being friends" Matthew grinned "cheers" tapping my glass with his, dad walked out and I spoke. "Maybe we should invite Melanie around" Matthew showed a cheeky grin "and the guy you are seeing" "I will do that" as Matthew called Melanie, I called Austin. "Hey beautiful. Are you okay?" "Amazing" "does this mean good news?" "It does. Would you like to come up town?" "YES. ADDRESS?" I chuckled "ninety one Rowley road" "see you very soon" "okay bye" "bye."
"So?" Matthew beamed a smile "Melanie will be here very shortly. Do you think our parents will let it rest?" "Well I don't know about that. I don't know your parents well. As for my father, I don't care" "as we are being honest.." I grinned "how long have you been seeing this guy?" "Since before we got married. I love him" Matthew showed a soft grin. "I'm happy for you. What does he do?" "He's a second year apprentice as an electrician" "that's a good job" "I think so too" "speaking of jobs, what do you plan to do about the office?" "I have been doing my horticulture course online and my practical experience on Saturdays. If dad doesn't keep me there, I have enough saved to get me through until my course is over. When the course is complete, I plan to leave" "it's all working out for the both of us" "I think so. Geez I wish you said something earlier" "I didn't know how. I'm sorry" "nah don't be. I understand why you hid it. Just like I have. They may sell the house though" "if they do that, then where will you go?" "Where I have been every weekend. You?" "I might need to look at buying one or renting until I can. I doubt my parents will allow me back there" "that is a shame. I do hope they treat Melanie right. If you like her and get along well, it would be a shame if they come in and ruin it" "me too". "I have an idea" "okay, what idea?" "To get this marriage counselling out of the way. How about we bring our partners?" Matthew grinned "I think that's a really good idea. Can they deny it if we are partnered to someone else?" "I don't know to be honest. I have never been through it. Only heard about the counselling through the grapevine".
