"If I'm being honest... I'm a little suspicious of you." One of my roommates looked at me strangely along with the other one as one was missing with the three out of four beds claimed. "Why is that..", "Well you say you don't know anything about your family.." I nodded.
"Yeah because I am adopted..", "Besides that. Almost every orphan I know, knows their past..and why their parents gave them up..or been killed.." I raised a brow, "Well who is the other orphan you know.." the door opened as if it was a guy with a duffle bag putting his stuff on the unclaimed bed.
He pointed to the guy who walked in, "Him. At least that is what I've been told.." the boy walked out afterwards just as the speaker went off. Attention all students, there will be a mandatory midnight snack meet and greet in the courtyard to meet your fellow classmates. Please come and enjoy this late hour socialization. I gulped, "Well..see you out there Callum.." Chris walked out along with Peter as I stood up and took a breath.
That was a lot of talking for me as I can feel my heart coming out of my chest. I shook my hands and walked out to the courtyard and saw everyone gathering around different groups. I went to the nearby tree and curled up into a ball, just to talk again is making me lose my mind. "What are you doing? It's social, not a sit and curl up." I saw Ms. Lunar talking to me and took my hand.
"Come on Callum..at least try and talk.." I sighed as she walked me up to a group of people and I saw another person behind a tree. Ms. Lunar groaned and saw the other person, "What are you doing hiding behind a tree..you're the second kid I've seen do that.." she looked afraid like me. "I wasn't hiding..I was nervous to talk..don't you know what social anxiety is.." I said as the group looked over, "I do. But almost anyone can conquer it." Ms. Lunar pulled the girl away from the tree and went up to the group.
"Do you three have room for two more to talk with?", "I guess. Five is an odd number..wouldn't it be better to make it even." another girl mentioned, "You're in luck Ms. Lunar, I found this one trying to hop the fence." it was the mysterious roommate, "There's gotta be another way.." the roommate mumbled, as the teachers walked off. "Well..okay..then." the one in blue said, "So who are you guys..", "I am Callum.."
I said, "Keith.." he mumbled, "Tami.." one of the girls said, "Nice to meet you three. I am Hunk.." we each shook hands, "Laser Pointer guy is Lance..and math wizard is Kaite.." we continued to shake hands. "Don't expect me to bond with you all..I will be out of this academy someday..", "Considering you got caught..I highly doubt it.." Katie commented.
