Chapter 21: Ash

Our mate was amazing. She had seen me in my wolf form and accepted us without reservation. I had been so afraid that she would be scared, that she would leave us, that the fear had been almost consuming.

Now as I sat on the couch, holding her in my arms I knew that I would do anything to make her happy.

"Can you all change?" Miren asked my quietly.

"Yes" I told her, running my hand down her arm to thread her fingers with mine.

"This is all so much" she pulled our linked hands closer to her chest.
"I know little one" I reassured her "I am trying to make this as easy on you as possible" she laughed softly at this.
"Where in {my boyfriends are werewolves} does easy come in?" she asked her voice full of humor.

"well you have to get excitement some how" Rowan cut in, sitting on the floor next us so he could rest his head against Miren's leg. Without a word she reached down and started gently running her fingers through his hair. She was so intune with the pack. even after such a short time she seemed to just instinctively know what they needed.

"Can I ask questions?" she ask after Torin and Roman join us. they had been getting our mate a blanket and a cup of tea to help soothe her in what we all knew would be a difficult conversation. 

"Always" the four of us responded automatically.

"Okay" she said, seeming to think about her question "Does it hurt? Changing I mean"

I smiled and nuzzled the side of her neck "No, the change does not hurt. You see we are wolves as much as we are men so for us it in more like stretching a sore muscle."

"It usually feels good, like a weight being lifted off your chest" Rowan added helpfully.

"Is it difficult for you to stay in this form then?" I could feel the worry and anxiety in her question. I gave Rowan a small kick in the leg.

"Fix this, you are making our mate worry needlessly" I sent him through our link.

"No that's not what I meant!" he rushed, "all I meant is that it doesn't hurt to change and it can sometime feel good but it doesn't hurt to be in this form"

She nodded at this explanation and started stroking his head again, soothing him. 

"So, how do I fit into all of this? I mean, is it ok if you date a human or are you guys free to get together with whoever you want?" she paused for a moment "is there even rules you have to follow?"

"Yes, there are some rules that all shifter follow such as not revealing the existence of our kind to the general public or hurting humans unnecessarily but other then that most rules are left to the packs alpha to decide" Torin explained.

Miren turned in my lap to look at me "and that's you, right?" she asked.

"Yes" I confirm her assumption "but I only took over as alpha shortly after we meet, before that Torin was our packs official alpha" 

"Why?" she asked, looking between Torin and I.

Torin took mercy on me and explained, "Ash is stronger and more dominant then I am. Up until now though he had no reason to want to lead. I always knew that he should be alpha but he was afraid that without a mate we would be driven to fight for it, so he fought his nature instead.

As Torin finished Miren flipped her leg over so she was straddling my lap, grabbed my face and kissed me. It took only a heart beat before I was in control, Miren melting in my arms. after a moment we pulled apart, breathing heavily. "I love you Ash" she said, resting her forehead against mine "you struggled so much just to protect your pack."

"I would do it all again if it meant you would be your mate" I told her, closing my eyes and basking in her presence. She was like warm sunshine after a long hard winter.

"But what does that mean exactly?" she was getting nervous which cause her to start squirming on my lap. I growled and grabbed her hips, holding her in place. 

"I'm sorry little one, but if you don't stop moving like that I don't think I will be able to control myself" I told her honestly, loving the blush it raised on her cheeks.

"Sorry, I fidget when I'm nervous" she said, leaning forwards to relax against my chest. 

"Trust me if I didn't feel that this conversation was important I would love nothing more than to feel you rubbing against me" I tell her quietly, loving how she buried her face in my shoulder to hide her ever growing blush.

"You are our mate Miren" I tell her "this means that you are ours and we are yours. We are destined to be. But this also means that we will be able to bond with you."

"What does that mean exactly?" she asked.

"It means that when you are ready we will make love and then I will bite you as I release inside of you." I tried to tell her what would happen during the bonding as delicately as possible, I felt the truth that I was going to fuck her until the only thing she can remember is my name and then bite her while I pump her sweet pussy full of my cum, would to much for her at that moment. She put her hand on my cheek "trust me" she said with a smirk "that is much more a perk then a worry" but after a moment her smile softened and she added "I know that none of you would ever hurt me"

I kissed her again, softly this time "I would die before I let you be hurt" I whispered.

"We all would" Roman added, turning Miren's head to kiss her next.

"We will always protect you" Torin added taking his turn in tasting our mate.

"I will always keep you safe" Rowan added, taking her lips as the rest of us tasted any part of her our lips could reach.

The Goddess had given us a mate and I planed on worshiping her until my last breath.
