Peach gets the Wario Bros to guard her and Mario in one of the Houtua's houses, and she simply lights some candles for light. She looks at Mario, who looks defeated.

Peach: Captain, are you ok?

Mario: Huh?

Peach: You seem to be down. I know it's none of my business, but what's wrong?

Mario: You wouldn't understand.

Peach: Try me.

Mario hesitates, before explaining his grief.

Mario: All my life since we got on the ship, I wanted to defeat Godzilla. And....there was a way in front of me. But I.....I didn't have it in me to do it. Even when it was the right thing, I didn't save.....

Peach: Master Sergeant Daisy Tani? You were childhood friends, correct?

Mario: How do you-

Peach: I take some time reading the files of every crew member in the ship. You want to defeat Godzilla because of what happened to.....your parents.

Mario freezes, remembering his parents' deaths. But he looks at Peach, trying to put up a stern face.

Mario: No. Because, so many times in the past, humans....Koopas.....even you, Bowser, and Yoshi lost to Godzilla. The Houtua survived, but lost so much. And for all of us who ran, we lost something more important: Faith.....dignity......justice. We lost all of that. You and Bowser lost faith in each other, despite how close you were. That's why I wanted to defeat Godzilla. To give us the pride we lost. If I had the courage to fight Godzilla again, I thought I would be able to take it back. (Tearfully breaks down) But in the end, humans continue to fight amongst themselves. You and Bowser continue to fight each other, and were unable to accept both of your wrongs, while others avoided reality! They chose to ignore the truth! And now, I.....I don't know where to go! What was...(begins crying)...what was the point?

Peach looks at Mario, seeing how broken he is. It reminds her of the others that were like him. He's lost so much, and so did she. They all did.

Peach: Mario, listen. I....I wish I could give the others hope....but it was all I could do. I rejected others like Bowser because I wanted to stick to my duties as a captain....but, after the expedition group's deaths, I begun to think.....maybe I broke humanity apart. You don't have to give yourself so much credit for any of this. If anything, it's my fault for suggesting to leave Earth. I'm the one who should be bombed in that landing ship.

Mario: Princess......Peach, what happened to the Emigration group was not your fault. You were only trying to do what's best for mankind. I'm the one who should've blown up. I led to all of this in the first place.

Peach: No, we chose to go back. You happen to be the catalyst. (Scoffs) A strategy to kill Godzilla? And it took us 40 years to come up with one. I never thought I'd see the day that would happen. What I'm trying to say is.....thank you, Mario. For all of it.

Mario brings his head up, seeing Peach go. He smiled softly, seeing her spirits up, and then goes to sleep, getting a blanket.

Meanwhile, Luigi and Miana sit down, with the latter lighting candles.

Miana: Luigi? In misery. Why?

Luigi: Huh? Uh, it's nothing. It's just that, I feel bad for everything now. Me and my bro are stuck here, nowhere to go, aliens after his head, and in the end, I'm dragged along to this. I was willing to fight by my bro's side, because he knew what he was doing. But now, he's down to his luck, while many others are just turning to blind eye to escape misery, and now we don't even have anywhere to go except here. If I wanted to use the landing ship Peach brought to get Mario as far away as he can, to the edge of the earth if we're lucky, I would. But now, we're stuck here. Because of this stupid METAL! (Hits the wall) What was the point of it all?!

Miana looks at Luigi, feeling sorry how he is angered about everything, before speaking up.

Miana: But he, you as well, will not lose. You won, so you're safe.

Luigi: Are you trying to cheer me up?

Miana: Well, you're brother never wanted to lose always.

Luigi: Can I ask you something? What's winning and losing in your side of things?

Miana: To win is to live on. To lose is to die. To challenge Godzilla. (Stands up) Luigi, you and Mario must win. From now on (stammers a bit) with us, together.

Miana begins to strip her clothing, shocking Luigi.

Luigi: Wait, what are you-?!

Miana takes off all of her clothing, shocking Luigi, who backs away a bit. He felt flustered, yet aroused as well, but tries to look away.

Miana: I want.....to connect life.

Luigi: Connect what?!

Miana gets closer to Luigi, grabbing his suit. She tries to take it off.

Luigi: Wait. What are you trying to do?

Miana: Accepting the loss. Learn them. This is our role.

Luigi tries to back away, as Miana struggles with the suit, but Luigi grabs her hands, confusing her.

Luigi: It's uh, okay. You don't have to. But, does it matter if I can rest here? I mean, I could sleep here if you wish.

Miana simply nods, and puts her clothing back on, despite being confused on him rejecting her offer.
