Chapter 26

SpottedPaw's POV

SpottedPaw guided Blaze to camp and she also got her prey that she buried. They finally made it to camp and GingerFur went to go talk to WhiteStar. GoldPaw and MapleLeaf left to go do other things, while SpottedPaw and Blaze waited for WhiteStar.

WhiteStar came out with GingerFur at his side. "So is this Blaze?" He looked at the ginger dog with a black stripe on his back and purple eyes.

Blaze spoke up. "Yes sir, I mean if you're the leader of this Pack?" He looked at WhiteStar and grinned.

WhiteStar narrowed his eyes. "Yes I am. Now SpottedPaw, you wanted Blaze apart of NaturePack? Well my answer is yes, but he has to follow the warrior code just like you have to and every other dog in the Packs. We will have his apprentice ceremony now." He turned toward the Great Rock and called out to the Pack. "Dogs of NaturePack who can still fend for themselves and can catch their own prey come beneath the Great Rock for a Pack meeting!" He finished off and everyone was coming out into the clearing.

WhiteStar continued when it was quiet. "NaturePack SpottedPaw here had found a rouge and wanted him to join our Pack. I said yes-" He was cut off with yowls of protest. "Silence! As I was saying, I said yes, because he looks loyal and noble and looks like he can fight." He turned to Blaze. "Blaze, do you wish to join NaturePack and follow the warrior code?"

"I do." Blaze dipped his head.

"Then I call down on my warrior ancestors to look over you for now you are BlazePaw  and you will hold apprentice duties until your mentor thinks you're ready to become a warrior." WhiteStar ended there and called up GoldPaw. "Now I have a great message to proclaim, GoldPaw and SpottedPaw have aced their assessments and are ready to become warriors." He looked for GingerFur and MapleLeaf. "GingerFur and MapleLeaf are GoldPaw and SpottedPaw ready to become warriors?"

"Indeed she is." MapleLeaf exclaimed.

"My apprentice is ready." GingerFur proudly said.

WhiteStar continued. "Well, GoldPaw and SpottedPaw will you both protect your Pack even if your lives are at risk?"

"Yes." They said in unison.

"Then from now on GoldPaw you will be known as GoldFeather and may StarPack light your path." WhiteStar lied his head on GoldFeather's head and GoldFeather licked his shoulder.

WhiteStar turned to SpottedPaw. "SpottedPaw from now on you will be known as Spotted-" He was cut off when SpottedPaw spoke.

"Sorry to interrupt, but I was wondering.. Can I have the name SpottedClaw in remembrance to ShadowClaw whom I loved?" SpottedPaw stepped back waiting to be scolded, but WhiteStar just looked at her in sympathy.

"As you wish SpottedClaw. May StarPack light your path." WhiteStar lied his head on SpottedClaw's head and SpottedClaw licked his shoulder. "Also, SpottedClaw you're going to be a mentor to BlazePaw. I hope to see you teach him all your ways of fighting and hunting." WhiteStar flicked his tail to tell the Pack that the meeting was over.

SpottedClaw couldn't believe she had her warrior name and an apprentice,  which was BlazePaw!
