'Good morning sleepyhead.' Nick whispers to the blonde who is curled up in his embrace. Although he is well aware she is still fast asleep. His eyes meet the gaze of the alarm clock that read the time 6:27am. A small sigh came out as he realised he would be the only one awake for a while. As he removed his hand that had held her back over night he placed it under his head so he could observe his sleeping girlfriend. Unfortunately he had got pulled out of his gaze as a small nock placed itself on the bedrooms door. Gently Nick sat up in hope that he wouldn't wake Meredith, but also in hope to not make her kids uncomfortable. The door slightly opens to a small, blonde girl holding a pillow. 'Hi.' A small whisper comes from Ellis as she starts to sway herself back and forth. Moments go by before her gaze is at Nick again. 'Good morning ellis.' Nick smiles at the little girl who is standing in the doorframe. 'Could i...' Ellis slightly looks away from him but her eyes look to the bed which her mother was sound asleep on. 'Come here.' Nick lightly chuckles as he picks himself out of the bed for the little girl. Ellis quickly walks over to the bed before jumping into the warm covers. As she snuggles herself in the bed Meredith starts to wake up. Meredith slightly opens her eyes to see that Nick is smiling as he's walking over to the door. 'Nick!' ellis whispers. He turns himself around slightly, his face furrows as he nods to the girl who had taken his place. 'Dont go. Come back.' The little girl digs herself out of the covers ever so slightly and moves up closer to her mom. Meredith feels the little girl wiggling herself closer to her, she closes her eyes again in hope they wouldn't notice she had awoken. 'Are you sure?' Nick hands the girl a soft smile and Ellis pats the bed in an attempt to tell nick would join them. 'Okay, okay. Just we need to be a slight bit quieter or your mom will wake up.' A light chuckle escapes him as he sits down on the bed. Ellis moves away from her mom cuddles herself into nick, hoping he would hold her in his embrace. Without a second thought Nick wraps his arm around the little girls shoulder. He places his right hand out for Ellis to take and before he knows it he's holding one of her tiny hands.

'Good morning.' Meredith turns her body around to face the two others in her bed. 'Good morning mama!' Ellis whispers but doesn't let go off nick. Nick smiles at his girlfriend as she admires the cuddle that is happening before her. 'Morning.' Nick looks at Meredith noticing her eyes are on the litte girl that had wrapped herself around him. In fear that he was making Meredith uncomfortable he slightly loosens his embrace on the little girl. 'No.' Ellis mutters into the mans shirt. 'Its okay Ellis, Im gonna go make you some breakfast.' Nick looks down to the girl as her big green eyes smile at him. 'Can you make pancakes?' A slight chuckle comes from her mother. 'If you guys have the ingredients, If not i can always pop to the shop.' Nick and Ellis separate as he stands up and grabs his clothes out of his suitcase. 'Give me 5 minutes and ill go downstairs and check.' Nick smiles at the two who laid in the double bed. As the man walks into the ensuite, Meredith sits herself up to prepare herself for the conversation that is about to take place between her snd her 7 year old daughter. 'I like nick.' Ellis admits as she crosses her legs, now sat up straight. 'I can tell.' Meredith holds ellis hand, slightly caressing it. 'He's nice. Oh and funny. Oh oh oh and he gives great hugs.' Ellis smiles at her mother. 'I can agree with you on that Elli' Meredith nods at her. Her free hands runs through the little girls blonde hair. A soft smile appears on Merediths face as the little girl starts to ramble on about her dream she had last night. 'And then we were walking down the street with our ice creams and then-.' Ellis gets interrupted by the ensuite door unlocking, a masculine figure with wet hair walks out. The man had a intoxicating smile on his face as his body moves closer to the bedroom door. He slightly leans himself against the door frame before turning his head to face the two girls. 'Ellis, Do you know if Bailey or Zola are awake?' The man questions. 'Bailey was awake before i came in here.'  Ellis reply's with a smile before turning herself around to face nick. Nick nods before walking out of the room. 'How about you go brush your teeth sweetie. Ill come help in just a second, okay?' Meredith smiles at the little girl as she grabs her pillow and skips off. 'Okay.' Ellis sings.
