Author's POV:
"Uh, you don't have to bother yourself further, it's alright." You said in a low voice. Taehyung looked around the dull room. He could still see some things due to the dim lights.
No photos or anything. Only a few portraits of yourself. He smiled a little seeing a SpongeBob plushie on the wardrobe followed by weird monster plushies. Did they belong to you?Jihoon would never own things like that.
He was curious if this room belonged to both you and Jihoon.
But looking around, seeing all the girly things laying around. Makeup, perfume, pyjamas, plushies and cushions, he could say it was your room. Messy and childish.Cute. He thought.
He walked toward you to see your distressed face. Something in your face made him look more intensely. There wasn't anything on your face but he still wanted to look for a moment longer and maybe another.
You couldn't feel any noise around you anymore. Did he leave? You wondered. You had no idea that he was standing right there in pin-drop silence, staring at you. A voice in him told him to leave. What on earth was he standing there for?
He turned around, about to leave but stopped when he heard a whimper.
You let out a shaky breath, sighing.
"It hurts... god. When is this ending?" You wanted to cry. You were feeling half-dead but this throbbing pain wasn't even letting you feel dead.
"I want to cut off my head... ah..." You whined in a weak voice, making Taehyung look at you. He didn't know why but the way you said 'I want to cut off my head' sounded strangely adorable. You were adorable. To him, at least.
The day he saw you at Jihoon's party, he could've never guessed you were his wife. You talked like a child sometimes. Only with Mina, yet so.
You thought of getting up when the feeling of something floating in your throat intensified. You wanted to vomit. Maybe it'd feel better then.
As soon as you got up, holding your head, you felt the sharp pain again. But as it lessened, you slowly opened your eyes and a wave of surprise rushed through you when you saw Taehyung opening the bathroom door of your room and standing there. The light of the bathroom door triggered you, causing you to look away, shielding your eyes from the light.
You saw Taehyung standing in front of you, blocking the light as he spoke, "You should vomit, it'll feel better."
"Why are you still-"
"As a doctor, it feels guilty to leave someone sick alone at home. It's like... a habit now. Helping people until they feel better or I feel like I'm the one lacking."You smiled a little as he shielded your eyes from the light with his hands. You were about to stumble a little but controlled yourself and immediately swallowed a lump. This was strange.
The air here was highly awkward. Because he was a man and you were a woman in the same room, alone.
You always felt awkward with men. Any funny incidents and you'd be awkward for life. You didn't even go near Jihoon much. And here this guy was, standing a few steps away from you. He must've sensed that you wouldn't like him too near you because even as he shielded you, he was quite away from you. You couldn't help but notice that much.
You noticed a little too much sometimes. Maybe, that was a trait overthinkers had. You were one of them.
You were soon in front of the toilet, vomiting as Taehyung stood beside you, shielding you with his hands.
"C-Could you not look...?" You said in a disgusted voice as he hummed. You weren't sure about his reaction. Did he have the most disgusted face ever? You were embarrassed, So embarrassed, you could cry.
But he wasn't disgusted. He was feeling rather weird, wanting to laugh. He was a doctor, used to a lot of situations.
