Author's POV:
"Mom, are you sure you don't need to go to the doctor? You said you have bad symptoms. Let's go get a checkup, hm?" You asked your mother who sighed.
"I think I am fine."
"Come on. We're going tomorrow. Okay? I think... I know I good cardiologist. I'll see if I can take you there. Now rest well." You hung up the call after bidding goodbyes and looked at the ceiling. After that day, you just refused Jihoon and said that you didn't want anything else anymore. He seemed disappointed but he added that he would try to make it up to you.
You couldn't even feel any better. It only made you think about one thing,"He broke up and now he's heartbroken so he needs something to get it over with and that 'something' happens to be me."
That was obvious. And he was f-cking selfish for that.
Right now, Jihoon was at work and you had finished working on a website before calling your mom so you were currently bored. Not knowing what to do, you turned on the TV and continued watching a Kdrama.

"Are you sure this is right?" Taehyung asked his father who nodded saying, "This works well! Why spend money on useless stuff when we have homemade remedies?!"
"I'm a doctor. Come on."
"Exactly. Leave that job! It's of no use. Use herbal things."
"Shut up." Taehyung's mother spoke from behind, bringing in a bowl of fruits as the men sat there, thanking her. Both of them started enjoying the fruits as Taehyung's mother said, "Being a doctor must be hard. You worked hard to become one."
"It's nice too." Taehyung smiled.
"Hah... so nice that he doesn't get time to date." Taehyung's dad said in a disappointed voice as his mom frowned, "Dating doesn't come like that! It happens naturally, idiot."
"Yeah, you forced me to date you. That wasn't natural!"
"We don't talk about it in front of our son!"Taehyung chuckled at his parents and said, "I'll date when I can... when I really... want to."
"You don't want to, now?"
"I need to figure out my feelings and organize them first, right?"
"So you have someone you like?"
"I don't know." Taehyung shrugged, looking outside the window. He changed the topic quickly, not wanting to dive further into the topic. The topic of you was always on his mind. He barely knew you yet he felt so close to you. He was so curious about you.
But every time he got reminded that you weren't even near him. You were someone else's f-cking wife. Wife.
It felt as if someone stabbed him right in the heart. He sighed. Moreover, it wasn't like you liked him back anyway. Right?
—2 days later
"35 days oh my god." You looked at the chart and smiled, making your way to your parent's house. You wouldn't get in. You didn't in the past 5 months. Your father had lost you the day he forced you down the aisle. You would've lied if you said you didn't miss him but you hated him more than anything. Whatever he did was not acceptable.
Forced you into this hellish marriage for his own profit.
But you had to take your mother to the hospital as well so you were standing outside. She wanted you to come inside but you weren't agreeing.
"Where are we going though?"
"Uh, to someone I know? He's a cardiologist."
"Oh... how do you know him? Your friend?"The answer was supposed to be Jihoon's friend but you didn't want to include that selfish prick in this conversation.
"Kind of... acquaintance I'd say. Mutual friend." She nodded.
