Author's POV:
You watched the boys go into the dressing room near the court and change into basketball attires. They came out and started playing. You never saw them in this outfit before. Every time they had these matches, you never joined.
You stared at Jihoon who was struggling to play with Taehyung. Taehyung was a pro at this.
You couldn't help but feel excited seeing the tension between both of them.Jihoon was indeed your husband. But your eyes kept wavering back to Taehyung playing. Deep down, you wanted him to win. No reason. You just wanted him to win.
You saw Jihoon's tensed face but it didn't worry you. It was just a game anyway. But the thought immediately changed once you looked at Taehyung. He seemed determined to win. As if he was holding back something. He seemed a little distressed and his eyes kept wavering here and there.
Did something happen in the dressing room? Both Jihoon and Taehyung looked bothered. You sipped some water from your water bottle. Taehyung passed the basketball and threw a successful shot. Everyone cheered as Jihoon and Jimin who were on the same team groaned. You smiled but looked away as soon as your eyes met with Taehyung's.
Something in you felt weird and restless. The look on his face made your heart beat faster. Or was it just because...
Because what? There was no other reason.
You cleared your throat and looked down, chugging down your water bottle. You hated being like this. You couldn't even understand why your heart would feel so fuzzy because of someone looking at you. Well again, maybe you were just startled because of the sudden eye contact. Who knew?
You tried shrugging off any excess thoughts and looked at the boys playing. Soon, Jihoon scored one goal and Jimin another leaving Jungkook and Taehyung's team behind. You should've been happy to see Jihoon's team leading the game but you weren't bothered at all. You stared at them wondering what was wrong with you.
These days, every time you thought of Taehyung, a soft smile appeared on your face. Was it a bad sign?Well, he was fun. Anyone would smile. This was nothing. Right?
Yeah, nothing at all.Your thoughts were interrupted when it was break time. You got up and walked inside the washroom. Thanks to chugging an entire bottle of water, you had to pee now.
You frowned at the washroom. The sink was in one area where as there were only two washroom doors with signs 'Men' and 'Women'.
"They really thought making it two doors with separate bathrooms would justify the united washroom policy." You sighed. After doing your work, you started washing your hands when you heard a familiar voice outside the washroom.
"It's just 2 months, I told you. I can't cheat on someone." It was Jihoon's voice. Why was he talking outside the public washroom? Is he dumb or what-You sighed, knowing immediately what this conversation might be about.
"Liya, come on. You know well that it's just a marriage of convenience. I'm not even attracted to her what are you even thinking?!"
You heard him babble for some more time and honestly, you were just... blank. You were his wife and there he was, convincing another woman that he didn't feel attracted to his wife.
And you were just there, listening to all that.Suddenly, you heard the door of the washroom open and backed away, hiding.
Who the fuck was it-
"Taehyung?" You whispered, gasping.
He seemed equally shocked to see you and turned his head, listening to Junho's conversation. He knew beforehand, didn't he?
You noticed how his jaw hardened and his hands fisted as Junwoo's voice reached your ears,
"Liya! She's nothing extraordinary, I don't care about her-"
