You sat on the couch next to Gru's mother as she flipped the next page of Gru's baby photos, "Mom! What are you doing here?"
Gru was startled by his mother's sudden appearance, "Here he is in the bathtub, ah, look at his little buns," she made sure to show you and the girls the photo as you all giggled.
"Mom, not cool," Gru said, looking mildly annoyed.
"And here, he's all dressed up in his Sunday vest." She smiled, showing you the pictures.
"He looks like a girl," Margo chuckled as she looked at the photos.
"Yes he does, an ugly girl," the girls chuckled as you played with Edith's hair.
-.-
You spent all week with them, watching the girls practice their dancing in the living room, making smores from the flames of the rocket testing, playing dress up with them, and even dyed Kevin. Anita was with you, of course, just ogling Nefario, though she'll fight you if you ever bring that up.
Gru made you pancakes the first time you slept over with the girls, "How'd you even get them shaped like that?"
Gru smiled, dropping the pancakes on their plates, "Cool! I got a dead guy!"
You smiled, pinching Edith's cheek, "Here comes yours Y/n!"
Gru flipped the pancake, getting startled by Dr. Nefario he dropped your smiley face on his frowned face, "Awe, my pancake."
Gru turned, "I'll make you another one," then looked back at Nefario, who could've been fuming by the ears.
-.-
You were sitting in a tedious meeting. You didn't want to be there, but it was very important to do it now so you could make it to the girl's dance recital in a few days. The next man stood up to give his version of the presentation, but all you could think about was the progress your friends had made. Gru opened his heart and his home to three delightful girls. Anita, though she would take it to her grave, loved them as well. It was only a matter of time for Nefario to warm up to them.
Just then Anita burst through the door, "Y/n-"
"Anita, I'm in a meeting... can this wait till later?" You looked up at her bored.
"The girls-" Anita started, but you cut her off.
"Are fine, tell me after the" Anita cut you off, "Gru returned the girls!"
You stood up from your chair, grabbing your purse and your coat, "Meeting postponed!"
You and Anita ran out of the building, getting to your sports car, it was the fastest car you owned, "Buckle up, it'll be a bumpy ride."
-.-
You parked, standing up, "Let's go. If push comes to shove, I want you to have my lawyers on speed dial."
"Yes, Y/n." Anita walked in behind you, writing information down on her clipboard.
"Do you have an appointment?" Ms. Hattie asked, not looking up from her computer.
