The sun peered through the blinds, landing on your face. Your breathing was calm and slow, the way it had been all night.
Dru noticed that your breathing would calm when he was near. That if he left, even to go to the bathroom, your breathing would become irregular, and you would squirm.
Dru watched you sleep, loving the way you were comforted by his presence, even when you were unaware, "I love you so much when I meet the person who did this to you..."
He paused to not let his rage overcome him, "I would risk anything to make sure you're safe, even my own life."
You slowly open your eyes, "How do you feel, my darling?"
You let out a breathy sigh, "A thousand times better than last night. We might have to consider..."
You met his eyes, "moving me into your room early if this continues to happen."
He laughed, jumped in bed, and covered you in kisses. Dru had been begging you to stay in his room since you moved in together, seeing how you were in the hospital.
Even your therapists said it was a good idea to keep her company, especially if your PTSD had resulted in suicidal thoughts.
He had wanted to live with you because he missed every second you were away, though you were right across from him. The therapist's thing was just to boost his reasoning.
You gasped as the clouds moved from the sky, letting the sunshine brightly in your eyes, "Dru, the sun-"
He stopped kissing you to see your eyes sparkle in the light, he stood up with a smile, closing the blinds and climbing back on top of you, "What if we start our day the way you like it? A nice cold shower, breakfast, and if you're up to it, the gym."
Your eyes wandered the man's silhouette as he spoke so gently to you, "Just the way you like it."
You smiled, "I would love nothing more than to spend eternity with you," Dru sat up and started wiggling in place.
You moved towards him, kissing him deeply before pulling back, "Now," You locked eyes with him and smiled, "about that shower you promised."
-.-
Gru knocked on his brother's door, wanting to speak to him about something in private. He heard giggling and shuffling behind the door before it opened to reveal Y/n in Dru's robe and Dru in a towel.
"Oh, Gru, do you need something?" You asked as Dru wrapped his arms around you.
"Just to talk to my brother, alone, please." Gru sighed, slightly uncomfortable with how cuddly you two were.
You turned and kissed his cheek, "I'll get ready in the bathroom."
You walked into the bathroom, closing the door behind you as the two sat in the chairs, overseeing the pool outside.
You then opened the door, showing your white workout clothes, "I'll get started on breakfast, I'll see you downstairs."
You kissed his face and walked out.
-.-
Once you entered the kitchen you saw Lucy working the juicer to make herself something to go with her oatmeal.
"Good morning, Lucy." You walked past her to grab the granola from the pantry, preparing what you needed to make an acai bowl for the both of you.
"Oh, hi Y/n." She glanced at you; her breath hitched.
"Say it." You spoke bluntly, feeling the hesitance from across the clean kitchen.
"I don't understand why you hate me so much." Lucy turned off the juicer.
