It had been several weeks into the school year. Grace loved her students. Most of them were just good kids, with absent parents who needed a little more loving. So that's what she gave them. Her classroom environment was really cosy and the kids felt right at home. As it was several weeks into the new year the first parent-teacher meetings where coming around and Grace was preparing for them. Making sure she had the reports and files of all of the kids were complete. Most of the parents she had never seen before, only several of her students where dropped of by their parents before school. Jack Wolff being one of them. Whenever his dad wasn't away with his Formula 1 team he made sure he brought his kid to school. Toto always made sure to drop Jack off in the classroom and he would pop into Grace's classroom. On the days that Toto was away, either Jacks grandma or grandpa would drop him off. She never met his mom. But Grace could tell that the Wolff family, despite their busy schedule, was a loving family.

She smiled as she closed little Jacks file and took a sip of her coffee. Jacks file had been the last, since she had been checking them in alphabetical order. Grace let out a loud sigh and then stood up. She was going home for the night. Tomorrow would be the first evening of parent-teacher meetings and the upcoming two-three days would be intense. It would be long hours and intense conversations as some of the parents were just that, intense.

She closed her classroom behind her and made her way outside of the school. Walking home was always one of her favorite things. She loved the Monaco air. As she walked towards her appartement, her phone began buzzing. Without looking at her screen she picked up the phone. "Oui?" The person on the other end chuckled. "Well, Sis, that's not how I expected you to pick up the phone." Grace smiled, widely. "Estie!" "Hi, Gracie." Esteban chuckled. "How're you doing? Did you settle in Monaco? How's the new job? I hear you've been teaching little Jack Wolff?" Grace laughed and nodded. "I'm great. A little tired, as it's parent-teacher week. But it'll be fine." Esteban hummed. "Monaco is great. I really love the atmosphere." Esteban laughed. "Yeah, Charles always brags about that. He's been asking about how you're doing, maybe we can meet up after the next GP." Madison nodded. "That would be nice. Maybe Charles has some tips for me, now that I live in his beloved country." She paused and then continued. "And yes, Jack Wolff is one of my students. Has Toto actually talked to you about it?" Esteban laughed. "No, I wouldn't dare talk to the Mercedes principal." Esteban laughed. "No, Sebastian told me he was speaking very highly of you. Sebastian checked in on Toto and they got talking about Jacks new school, and ofcourse his new teacher." Grace was a little surprised by this. "Him and Jack are very fond of you. He apparently talks about it every weekend." Grace smiled, it was always good to hear that the parents of her students where content. "Yeah well, his son is pretty easy to teach. He is such a sweetheart." Esteban smiled. "Well, enough about work and your students. When are you going to join me in the paddock again?" Grace sighed.

"I don't know Estie. Work is pretty busy right now." She looked down as she kept on walking. She was almost home. "I don't know if I have time.." Esteban groaned. "Come on Gracie, I miss my sister by my side. And you know damn well that you can leave friday afternoon and fly back after the race on sunday. You've done it before." Grace sighed and silently nodded. She didn't say anything as she walked up the stairs towards her appartment. She opened her front door and flicked on the lights. She dropped her bag by the front door and took of her coat as she continued her conversation with Esteban.

"I'm sorry Estie. It's just..." Esteban nodded. "I know Grace, but it's been what. Almost a year?" Grace hummed, conforming Estebans statement. "I know you were hurt, but it's been a long time. Aren't you over it?" Silently, Grace opened a bottle of water and chugged some of it, before answering Esteban. "Estie, come on. I'm over him, but that doesn't mean I'm ready to face him." "Maybe you are.. You won't know until you try." Esteban kept pushing the girl and Grace just grew frustrated by the minute. "Esteban." He stopped talking, it was never good when she used his full name, and he knew he should've stopped pushing her. "I'm just not ready." Grace snided. "I'll call you after this weekends race." And with that Grace hung up on her brother. She was done talking about it. She never liked when Esteban started the subject, it was still sensitive, even after 10 months. She groaned to herself and decided to just start dinner.

As she finished cooking and started eating, at her breakfast-bar, she received a text. It was from Esteban. He was appologizing for their conversation and wished her good luck on her parent-teacher week. She sighed, she may have over reacted. She texted a quick appology back, telling him she would call him on friday after her last meetings and then went upstairs. Maybe a long hot shower would ease her frustration.

Esteban on the other hand, threw his phone across the room after their conversation. He didn't mean to agrevate his sister. But, he just wanted her to travel with him again. Before all of this shit went down, she would make time for him and travel between at least the European races. But now he hadn't seen her since summer break and it had hurt. He knew she had been trough a rough time and he didn't blame her, he just missed her. She was his best friend.
