Grace opened the door and took a step back looking surprised at the man in front of her door. "Were you expecting someone else, Gracie?" In front of her door was the man she hadn't seen in 10 months. The man she used to call her fiance and had ended things with her over some model. The man she had loved so fearlessly, but that had only come to bite her in the ass. The man who had broken her heart and the reason she hadn't been to a single race since. And now he was here, in Monaco, in front of her.
"How do you know where I live?" Was the first thing that came to her mind. "That's the first thing you ask?" She slowly nodded. "I followed Toto and then made my way in first." He said and as if on queu, the Austrian Mercedes principal walked out of the elevator. His jaw clenched as he saw Fernando in front of Grace. "Is this man bothering you Grace?" Toto asked her, his accent strong and his tone deep, sending shivers down her spine. Grace shook her head. "No, I believe Fernando was just leaving." She squinted her eyes at him, the sentence almost came out as a hiss. Fernando lifted his hands. "I'll go, but don't say I didn't try to warn you." Grace let out a sarcastic laugh. "Taking advice from you would be really stupid. Goodbye Fernando." And with that she pulled Toto in her appartement and closed the door in Fernando's face.
"I'm sorry if I caused you any trouble." Grace said and she took a step closer to Toto. She looked at his face and couldn't stop herself as she gently carressed the bruise on Toto's face. His brown eyes turned dark under her touch and he took a deep breath, clenching his hands in his pockets keeping himself from doing something he shouldn't. Grace swiftly let go of his cheek and took two steps back. "Sorry." She mumbled. "That was highly unprofessional." And she made her way into the kitchen. "Can I offer you something to drink? Jack is asleep." Toto shook himself out of his trance and looked over at the woman, who was now standing in her kitchen. "I figured, so yes please." He had been a little late and it was no surprise that his son had been asleep on his arrival. She opened her fridge and looked inside. "Wine, beer, or something soft?" He shook his head and looked at the bottle of scotch that was sitting on her bar-cart. She followed his gaze and smiled. "On the rocks?" He slowly nodded and took a seat at her breakfast bar and he watched her move around her kitchen. He noticed she was a little nervous by his pressence due to the slight shake of her hand als she lifted the bottle. She poured to glasses and handed one to Toto. "The couch is a little more comfortable." She said as she walked into the living room herself and took a seat in the far corner of the couch. Leaving enough space for Toto to comfortably sit in the other corner of the sofa, without being too close to the girl.
Toto sat down and took a sip of his drink, nodding approvingly. "Congratulations on your results." Toto nodded slowly. "Thanks, but we should've had a win." Grace chuckled. "That was what Jack said. But you had a double podium." Toto shrugged. "He's a smart boy, my son." He just said and the girl could only nod. It was silent for a little while, before Toto spoke up. "Did he behave over the weekend?" Grace smiled. "He's an angel. He's one of the sweetest kids I've ever encountered." Toto smiled. "I'm glad to hear." He took another sip of his drink. "My mom called." He then stated. Grace looked at him a little worried, she hoped she didn't cross any boundaries or did anything wrong. Toto chuckled. "You brought them soup." Grace slowly nodded. "Nobody has ever brought my parents soup, except for myself. That was nice. They appreciated it." Grace smiled. "It was no problem. They seemed like they could use it." Toto nodded. He felt the scotch burn in the back of his throat and before he could do anything he really, really shouldn't he stood up. "I would like to see my son, kiss him goodnight." Grace smiled knowingly and nodded. "He mentioned he never went to bed without a kiss." She said when Toto raised his eyebrow at her to elaborate her smile. Toto nodded, a smile etched to his face. "Well I like to keep my promisses." Grace nodded, she got the message, so she also stood up and walked into the hallway in front of Toto. "He's in my bed." She said as she carefully opened her bedroom and glanced inside, seeing the boy was still asleep. Toto raised his eyebrow at her again but didn't say anything and walked inside.
Grace decided to give them a little privacy and walked back into the livingroom. Several minutes later Toto was back in the livingroom and stood in front of the girl. "Why is my son sleeping in your bed and not in the guest bedroom?" He wondered. Grace blushed as she noticed the close proximity the two were in. "He has slept in the guest bedroom the past two nights. But he asked me to sleep in my bed tonight. And I just couldn't say no." "Why?" Toto asked. "Well, have you seen his little face. I can't say no t-." Toto sighed. "That's not what I meant." "Oh." Grace said looking down at the ground. "Why did Jack want to sleep in your bed?" Grace blushed a little and scratched her head. "Because he said I smelled nice. Like a mom." Toto just hummed.
His son was right, she did smell nice. But she didn't smell like Susie at all. Susie had always smelled like heavy flowers and vanilla and Grace, she smelled fresh and sensual. But she did smell feminine and he guessed that was what the boy meant. And as Toto thought about it he took as step forward and nuzzled his nose into her neck, smelling the sensual tones of her perfume.
Grace gasped at the sudden closeness and touch of Toto's nose against the sensitive spot below her ear. Shivers went down her spine and she could feel her heartbeat ten times faster at his sudden touch. Toto had heard her gasp and had to try hard not to growl at the sweet sound she made. He watched how she closed her eyes as he nuzzled his nose into her neck again. He had to withhold himself with everything he had not to place small kisses to the spot or to suck at it. Her breathing became heavier as his breath fanned against her exposed skin. Toto swallowed, he felt his arousal and he had to push her away from him. He cleared his throat as he created a little distance between the two of them. "I'm pretty tired, so I should go." He mumbled. "I'll pick up Jack early in the morning." Grace grabbed his upper arm and stopped him. "You could stay the night." She whispered.
Toto watched her heavy eyelids fluther. He long lashes mesmerized him as he looked into her deep blue eyes. "I.. shouldn't." She coughed, rubbed her hands over her cheeks and than continued. "You could sleep with Jack in my bed and I'll sleep in my guestroom." Ofcourse, that was what she meant, Toto thougt. It hadn't been an invite to spent the night with her. Toto slowly nodded. "I'll show you the bathroom." She whispered and she walked into the hallway. Toto followed her as she showed him were the towels and toiletries were. Toto silently thanked the girl as he watched her make her way into the guest room. He sighed as he made his way into the bathroom, swiftly washing his face and brushing his teeth. He walked over to the bedroom and took place next to his son, who only turned over once before continuing his slumber.
Toto breathed in deeply and instantly his nose was hit by the same sensual smell he had smelled on her just minutes ago. He groaned silently and stared at the ceiling. This was gonna be a long, hard night.
