Grace looked into the dark brown eyes of Fernando Alonso as she turned around. The man stood tall as he was slightly bend over her petite frame. She inhaled his scent once again and while looking in to his eyes, for a split second she forgot how this man had broken her heart. In that moment she was mesmerized by his beauty, his scent and the adoration with which he looked down upon her. However, as soon as that happened it had quickly dissapeared again. She shook her head and her smile turned into a thight lipped frown.

"Oh come on, Gracie." Fernando muttered as he watched how she frowned. He knew he had hurt the woman in front off him immensely, and it was his biggest regret. The woman in front of him, probably was the love of his life. But in a fit of mental derangement and in fear of commitment he'd went out and did the unforgivable. He'd cheated on his fiance, the love of his life. To make things even worse, Fernando then proceeded to date the woman he had cheated with after the couple had broken up. So he knew he had been the one that destroyed his chances with the girl. But right in this moment he was hoping he could make things right, get himself another shot with the woman.

Grace shook her head at Fernando. "You don't get to talk to me about what you imagined for us." She hissed towards him. "Not when you are what destroyed us." He noticed how she shivered as he gently touched her upper arm and he could see how her eyes betrayed her.

She wasn't done with him, even if it had been over a year, the girl still had some sort of feelings form him and that sparked some hope. Fernando opened his mouth to comment on her statement but Grace held up her hand and shook her head. "Don't, Nando. Just don't." He noticed how her eyes flickered as she used his old nickname she always used for him and his heart clenched. He missed her. But he could also see the emotions run wild inside of her as she looked at him, and he knew she was still hurting. So he decided to listen to her and let her go, for now.

As he let her go he nodded. "Grace, I am so sorry. For everything." Grace just blinked. She noticed how his eyes shone with regret and it hurt her to see him like that. He looked a little lost. He pouted his bottom lip a little and then spoke again. "I miss you." He whispered and then held up his hands. "I'll leave you to it." And with that he retreated back into his own half of the Alpine garage.

It had been the first time that she had been in his presense for longer than a few seconds. The interaction at her doorstep a few weeks back only consisted of mere seconds and they hadn't really been alone since Toto had also appeared. But now the two of them had been alone and it had been the first time since their split. It had been the first time she had heard him apologize in person and Grace didn't know what to do with the emotions it released inside of her. So instead of doing the sensible thing and talk about it with someone, she pushed the feelings down. She huffed and then pulled her shoulders back. She glanced towards the direction Fernando had just left in, one last time and then turned around.

She walked over towards Jack and Esteban, who had just put Jack inside his car and explained every button on the dashboard to the kid. Jack beamed up at Grace as she approached the two. "Look Gracie, I'm a fast car driver!" Jack then proceeded to simulate racing noises as he pretended to drive the car with an invisible steering wheel. Grace laughed at the kid and ruffled his hair. She then smiled at Esteban who had a big smile etched on his face as he watched the kid. He would be a great uncle or dad one day.

Esteban smiled at his sister as she lifted Jack form the Alpine car several minutes later. "I'm glad you're here Sis." he smiled at her and wrapped his arm around her shoulder. Grace nodded and smiled. "It's good to be back." She smiled. She chatted a little with Esteban and every now and then her eyes would look around the garage. Everytime she lifted her eyes she could see Fernando watching her. He looked at her with a pained expression etched to his face. And everytime she caught his eyes she would shake her head swiftly, not wanting to get caught into his web yet again.

Esteban noticed the interaction between his teammate and his sister and swiftly led her out of the garage onto the paddock. He huffed and looked down at her. "Come on Grace." He huffed. "You can't be serious." Grace shook her head. "Esteban, nothing's going on. He just talked to me for a few seconds before I walked into your side of the garage." Esteban huffed. "It's nothing." Esteban rolled his eyes and crossed his arms in front of him. "I know how he had you wrapped around his little Spanish fingers and then broke you. I don't want that to happen again." Grace gave Esteban a small smile. "I know Estie, but I've been trough a lot with him. I can't just forget all that, he's a good person despite what he did to me." She gave his shoulder a small squeeze. "Don't worry. I'm not getting back together with him, but I miss him.. You know as a friend." Esteban sighed and then ruffled his hair.

"Fine. Just don't let yourself get hurt again." She kissed her brother on his cheek. "I won't." She smiled and then looked at Jack who was still in her arms. "Now, I should get back to the Mercedes garage. Lewis is driving me back to the hotel." Esteban raised his eyebrows at her statement and she shook her head laughing. "Bye Estie" Esteban chuckled and waved at his sister. "Bye Grace. Bye Jack." Jack giggled and waved at the french driver as they walked off to the Mercedes garage.

The Mercedes garage was still in full swing as everyone seemed to be packing up. The engineers were hustling and busting around. The drivers were with their respective physical therapist doing some cool down routines and Toto was talking to one of the strategists.

Grace walked in with Jack on her arm and looked around. Seeing as everyone was still busy she took a seat in the corner of the garage. She sat Jack down next to her and gave him a colouring book, to pass some time. "Gracie?" Jack asked and Grace hummed. "Can I go to Daddy?" He pointed at his dad, who was still talking to his strategist across the garage. Before Grace could answer the question, Jack had already hoisted himself up on his little legs and ran over towards Toto. "Daddy!" He squeeled and Toto turned his attention towards Jacks direction. For a small second he frowned, but as he noticed Jack running towards him a big smile appeared on his face.

Toto bent down to catch Jack and lifted him up in his arms. "Thanks John." Toto said quickly as he patted the strategist on his back before turning his attention towards Jack. "Hi Jackie." Jack smiled at his dad. "Hi papa." He threw his little arms around Toto's neck and hugged his dad. Toto smiled and hugged the little kid into his chest. He then looked over his shoulder and saw Grace approaching. "I'm sorry. He's too quick." Toto chuckled and shrugged. "It's okay. I like having him here." Grace frowned a little, because it didn't seem like it during the weekend but she decided not to say anything. Jack released his dad and looked at both Toto and Grace. "I looked before crossing and I asked Grace if I could go." Grace chuckled. "Yeah you did. You're such a good kid." She ruffled his hair. "But next time, wait for me to answer the question, okay?" Jack nodded frantically and then started talking to his dad about being at the alpine garage with Esteban.

Toto glanced at the woman next to him and his son, nodding along to what little Jack was telling him. The woman was scrolling down her phone and had a content look on her face. "Let me treat you to dinner. As a thank you for watching Jack." He paused. "And as an apology for not giving you the attention you deserve." Grace looked up from her phone and frowned a little. She took in a breath. It was a way of apologizing, but Grace didn't know if she wanted to forgive the man so easily. He had purposely ignored her for most of the weekend, then apologized and had something definetly had happened that evening, but then had returned to his previous behaviour of ignoring her. Grace didn't want to fall into something which would end up confusing her and hurting her. However as she looked at the Austrian, who looked at her with a pleading look in his eyes, she found herself slowly nodding in agreement.
