Chapter 2: Love Is In The Air

School ended. I usually walk out with ShinShi but he had to go somewhere with his dad. I walk home, But I don't have a curfew. So I sat at my favorite Sakura Tree closest to the gate. I grabbed all my stuff from my locker and proceeded to exit the building. I sat at my favorite tree. I like this spot. I usually watch people leave the building in pairs of two or three. I don't know why, But I always counted how many pairs of students would walk by.

two then three then two then four then three. Then none. I always liked doing my homework at this tree. I liked looking at the pretty pink leaves falling off of these trees. but there was one leaf that looked different from the others. it had a hot pink and blue kind of tone to it. It caught my eye, so I went to grab the leaf. not knowing or paying attention someone was on the other side of the tree, two then three then two then four then three. Then one.

But not paying attention. I grabbed the person's hand. it was a woman's hand, we both peaked our heads from both ends of the tree still holding her hand. It was Mika. There was awkward silence and eye contact for a while. looking into her eyes was like looking at galaxies. Her beauty was extraordinary to look at. Then once I realized we were still holding hands. Embarrassed, I let go. I grab all my things and walk away to go home. "Hey wait!" Mika called to me as I was exiting the gates. I turned around and I felt my face heating up as I looked at her. "You look strangely familiar" she stated while walking toward me. "I-I-I do?"

I was too nervous and I tripped over my words a bit. She laughed. but she didn't laugh how the other kids laughed at me. It felt warm and comforting to hear. She smiled and asked what my name was. I told her my name in many studders. She giggles at me. She said I was funny and said that she'd see me around more since we have classes together next semester. I was still feeling a bit shy and nervous after we parted ways. "I talked to Mika, I talked to a girl" I said nervously and excitedly. I took my shower and then settled for bed after a couple video games. I layed on my bed "Mika". Then I fell asleep.
