Chapter 1: Fate

"Miri Terikota!". I fell out of my seat to the teacher calling me very abruptly. Everyone laughed at me. I didn't care though, "I was sleeping, what's wrong with sleep?" I asked Mr. Chota as he was sitting up against the board. "Sleeping in my class isn't an option, it's a choice you made yourself". Mr. Chota was always a little bothersome to me. I chose to ignore him when I could. The bell rang and it was time for lunch. Everyone left the room while I was still getting packed up to leave the class. "Miri, come here a moment will you" Mr. Chota called me up to the front of the room. It was quite quiet in there without all the other girls gossiping and boys yelling and trying to slam each other. "Why do you keep sleeping in my class?" That's the question he asked me but I was too tired to answer, so I just left.

I walked out of the class while Mr. Chota was calling my name repeatedly. I didn't care. But that's when I saw her. Mika Kozume, she was the class rep and just a little older than me. Looks like she was heading to lunch the same time I was. She made a left turn on the corner to the hallway that enters the cafeteria. I usually eat in the classroom, I like talking to Mrs. Hatake. She's nice to me. ShinShi is always in there, he's my best friend he's also a part of the student body. I wish I was a part of the student body. Mika was really pretty, she was really nice, and sweet. She cared for others, even the ones who didn't understand very much. She helped when nobody else would. She's also a DECA national. It must be nice. That's our class rep for ya. I have really bad social anxiety, which is the worst because I can't really talk to people very well. sometimes when I do talk in front of the class. Sometimes I ask myself, "what would Mika do?".

I stepped foot in front of Mrs. Hatake's door after grabbing my lunch and opened the door. "Yo Mrs. Miri, how's it goin'?" ShinShi was always an over confident person. That's what I liked about him though. "I'm doing nice, what's going on with you? I heard you and Toma got into a fight earlier". I said to him walking to the desk over from where ShinShi was sitting. "Yeah, we did but he stole my lunch now I'm starving". I split my sandwich in half and gave one half to ShinShi. He told me he was grateful. The sandwich was good, It was better than what I get at home anyway. All we had was instant noodles. Not saying they aren't good but- "Hello Miri, ShinShi." Mrs. Hatake walked into the room with a very good looking purse. Me and ShinShi said hello with smiles on our faces. She smiled back. Mrs. Hatake was my favorite teacher. She was always nice to Me and ShinShi. We still question ourselves on why though. "Hey Miri, you should check out something called ""Fate"" on Boogle it's interesting". ShinShi Suggested something to me. I might look it up when I get home. Maybe.
