Chapter 8: Confirming Text

Today was the day. The day I would ask Mika to lunch. I was nervous. I wanted to dress nice. But I figured I would be trying too hard. And we are two girls going to lunch. I'm Lesbian which means I like my own gender. But I don't know if Mika is. So I figured I'd just go in normal clothes. If she decided to have lunch with me that is. I looked in the mirror, I decided to take a shower and put a Bow in my head. Then I agreed with my looks. Now, The moment of truth. I decided to pull out my phone and text Mika about lunch.

I was scared knowing she could say no. I set my phone down and started taking the bow out of my head. "It's pointless how would I ever-" my phone buzzed. I thought it was my sister calling me because she was the only one who replied this fast. It was from Mika. I was scared to open it. But the replies kept coming. After one or two minutes I decided to open my phone to 3 texts from Mika. All stating "Yes I would Love to go to lunch with you" there was a Gmoji at the end of that one. "What Time?" I was thinking about the time as I read it. "And do you want me to pick you up?" I responded to all of the messages. Especially the last one. I told her around 4:25. Overall I was extremely excited to go to lunch with Mika. After I responded to those texts. I was trying to put the bow back In my head. Since she walked me home one day she already knows where I live. I put the bow back in my head and stood up from my bed. Although I wanted to stay on the bed a bit longer because of how comfy it was.

I started getting dressed but I didn't wanna make it look like I was trying too hard. So I just decided to put on something normal. I put on a grayish Black hoodie with my favorite Anime on it., And Blue Jeans. I changed the Blue Jeans because they didn't look good on me. So I just put on some sweatpants. No harm done. I heard honking from outside. I grabbed all the money off the counter my sister left and walked toward the door to get my shoes. I heard knocking at the front door next to me. I opened the front door to see Mika standing there. She looked so nice. She smiled at me. "Don't worry we can take our time." She said that with a sweet smile. She held her hand out for me to grab. "Ready to go Miri?" Mika said smiling.
