3rd person's pov:

The brunette's eyes fluttered open, he stared at the unknown celling for a moment and immediately sat up. His head was hit with a sharp pain and the brunette clutched his head, cursing silently at the pain. He looked at his wrists, they were wrapped neatly with bandages.

"Where am I?" The brunette muttered. The door opened and he looked up, his eyes widened at the sight of the man standing there. The brunette immediately kneeled, lowering his head and greeting the man.

"Good morning oyakata-sama, it's good to see you in good health"

The master said nothing, he walked towards the brunette and kneeled down

"Please, lie down, you should rest"

"But-"

"You need to rest" the master said in a firm tone. The brunette nodded his head and lied down, the master sat beside him.

"How is your body giyuu?"

"I'm fine master, thank you for your concern"

The master smiled sadly at giyuu's words.

"Giyuu"

"Yes master?"

"Why did you do it?"

Giyuu paused, surprised by the master's words.

"D-did what master?" Giyuu tried to hide his stutter but failed.

"Why did you attempt suicide?"

"I-" giyuu stayed silent, he stared at the celling, thinking of a response. Giyuu sat up slowly, the master helping him untill giyuu was upright.

"I..I'm sorry master"

"I'm not asking for a apology, I'm asking why you did it" oyakata-sama spoke softly, he placed a hand on giyuu's back, providing him some sense of support.

"I-I d-didnt want t-to live anymore" giyuu choked out, tears were falling from giyuu's eyes, he bit his lip, desparately trying to stop the tears.

"Why, child?"

"I-" giyuu couldn't speak, he was sobbing at this point. Oyakata-sama moved closer to giyuu, he pulled giyuu into a fatherly embrace. Giyuu leaned in to oyakata-sama, holding on to any support he could get. He felt like he could tell oyakata-sama everything, so he did. Giyuu told why he hated living so much, how difficult his life was with an eating disorder, how living everyday felt like a nightmare, how others hated him, how he hated himself, how useless he felt, how he didn't feel like he was worthy of being a hashira. Giyuu choked on his words, his tears staining oyakata-sama's haori. The master said nothing, only gentily patting giyuu's back as he heard giyuu's story.

When giyuu finished, oyakata-sama pulled away from the hug, he passed some tissues to giyuu so he could wipe his tears. Oyakata-sama's heart was in pain, he didn't know how difficult life was for the child. He didn't expect giyuu to attempt suicide, he knew giyuu was the quiet type but he didn't know the burden giyuu was carrying. Oyakata-sama wanted to visit the water estate since he heard giyuu was acting a little differently the past couple weeks. He wanted to personally check in on giyuu since he knew the other hashiras dislikes giyuu and thank the gods oyakata-sama visited giyuu that day. Giyuu had attempted suicide on that day, he slit his wrists and hung himself. If oyakata-sama had been any longer, giyuu would have died. Hence, oyakata-sama brought giyuu back to his mansion to treat giyuu, he had a feeling giyuu wouldn't liked if the other hashiras knew about this and his intuition was right.

"What do you plan to do now?"

"I will go back to training master"

"I don't think that would be good"

"I'm fine master, my body can handle it"

"No child, you need to rest. You're overworking yourself"

"I am fine though master" giyuu insisted.

"No, you need to rest. I forbid you from training and going on missions for a week"

"But master!"

"No buts child. You need to rest" oyakata-sama demanded.

"Okay master. Thank you for your concern" giyuu reluctantly accepted. Oyakata-sama smiled warmly.

"I'll find a specialist that will help you with your eating disorder and mental state"

"I appreciate it master but there is no need for it. It is too excessive."

"Nonsense, your well-being is my priority child. You had to deal with this for so long and I didn't notice it, the least I can do is to at least help you recover."

"But master.."

"Giyuu, I see you as one of my own child. Your well-being is more important" oyakata-sama spoke is a soft voice.

"I..I'll accept it master, thank you so much for your consideration"

"Good. I'll be going now, you should rest child" oyakata-sama spoke. He got up and walked out of the room, gentily closing the door behind him and walked away. Giyuu sat on the futon, staring at the blanket. His clenched his fist, tears flowing freely from his eyes. He hated himself.

"You shouldn't have said anything. Why did you burden master? Why didn't you lie? Why are you such a worthless piece of shit? You don't even deserve care you useless shit. You're nothing more than trash, the least you could do is not be a burden to others" giyuu cursed at himself, hitting his head with his fist. He curled up in a ball and sobbed quitely, not wanting to make any sound which would cause oyakata-sama more worry.
