Giyuu's pov:
I stretched my arms out, cracking a few joints as relief surged through my body.
"You done?" Someone called out behind me. I turned around and smiled warmly at the familiar man.
"Yeah"
" 'kay, shall we go?"
"Sure" I enthusiastically replied. We held hands as we left the butterfly estate, it felt good to finally be free from the same room I resided in for the past 6 months, it felt refreshing. The sky was a serine blue and the grass was vibrant. A gentle breeze blew by, tickling my face as it carried the lively feeling of life. We headed towards toward my estate in comfortable silence, strolling down the path as we enjoyed the natural beauty of the earth. Everything was peacefully quiet and I could hear the faint trickling of water from a nearby stream.
...
3rd person pov:
The couple arrived at the water estate, they stopped infront of the building, admiring the magnificent appearance of the estate.
"Woah, this estate is pretty.." the ravenette mumbled, breath taken away by the glamour the building spelt.
"Mhm it is"
"Whose estate is this?"
"What do you mean?"
"I know this isnt my estate, is it uzui's?" The ravenette turned to his lover. The wind hashira stared at his lover in surprise than smiled softly.
"Its not his, its your estate, yuu"
"Huh?" The water hashira snapped his head to the building. The estate looked newly constructed. Its wooden beams that supported the house were painted with a pastel artic blue, the roof was admiral and the old Shoji doors and windows were replaced with new ones. The grass that surrounded the house was a lush green and light emitted from the house.
"You're joking, this isn't my estate, I thought my estate was moved?"
"No, who told you that your estate was moved?"
"Shinobu, she brought me to that cliff behind this estate once and I asked her about this building. She told me that uzui was moving here because his estate was burned down or something.."
"You dumbass," sanemi chuckled, "it was a lie, we were reconstructing your estate and had to lie to you because kanroji wanted it to be a surprise"
"Wait, wait, wait. Reconstructed??"
"Yeah"
"Wait what?!" Giyuu exclaimed, his eyes were wide open and his mouth hung open. The estate was his and he didn't want to believe it. He remembered his run down estate, it was old and infested with insects but the building Infront of him was the polar opposite of what he used to live in.
"This can't be my estate, my estate doesn't look like this, the building is different from the previous design" he shook his head, he couldn't believe it.
"We reconstructed the house, the wooden supports were eaten by termites so we had to rebuild the house"
"You what?" Giyuu's eyes were filled with bewilderment. He was touched and confused, he wasn't used to receiving such extravagant things and to receive his refurbished estate as a gift was hard to process.
"We refurbished everything. You want to take a look?" Sanemi chuckled, he enjoyed seeing his lover's face in disbelief at the fact that the building was his. He dragged the ravenette into the house, everything was new. The walls were painted with a milky white colour and the wooden floor boards were new. Lights hung from the celling, lightening up the house with their vibrant shades of white and plants were placed around the house. The living room had its essentials and the dinning table wasn't as depressing as it once was. The wooden steps of the stairs thicker and stronger, it was able to hold more weight than the previous steps which would have broke under heavy mass. The guests rooms were furnished and the kitchen was clean. The ravenette's bedroom had a complete makeover, the once dim room was lit by a celling light and the floors were covered with tatami mats. Furnitures which the hashira had lacked were now present in the room. A new and fluffy futon replaced the mouldy and flat futon. The toilet was re-designed, the tiles were a prestine white and the blood stain on the wooden floor was removed. The engawa was no longer old and full of splinters, the garden was lush and full of vibrant flowers with whom danced gracefully in the wind. The pond was alive, tortoises and koi fishes swam happily in the pond and a the once broken fence surrounding the estate was replaced with new ones.
"This..when did you do this..?" Giyuu muttered out, his eyes were watery and happiness blossomed in his chest.
"We finished this in 2 months"
"2?!"
"Yeah, the kakushis did most of the construction and some of the hashiras helped out. Uzui, obanai, and kanroji designed the house, rengoku and himejima went to look for furniture, and muichirou and shinobu went to look for kakushis who were willing to help with the construction"
"Wait..but.. weren't y'all busy..?"
"Somewhat, but we had enough time to do this. We hired some kakushis to help maintain the estate, they will arrive in the afternoon."
"I.." tears fell from the ravenette's eyes. As much as he loved how the others cared for him, a part of him lingered with doubt. He questioned himself if he was worthy enough to receive such an amazing gift.
"You're thinking" sanemi noticed and flicked the ravenette's forehead.
"Sorry..its just.." giyuu mumbled out.
"Its okay, you can tell me" sanemi replied, embracing giyuu in a warm hug, he pressed the ravenette's face to the crook of his neck and rubbed circles on his back.
"Do..do I deserve this..? I mean- I'm not that good and - this should be for someone else-"
Sanemi placed his lips on the ravenette's, interrupting his lover.
"Yuu, baby, its okay. You deserve this and so much more, we took so much from you, its only right for us to give it back"
"But-"
"You deserve it yuu, you deserve a lot of things but we can only give you a fraction of what life owes you. I want to give you more because you deserve it baby" sanemi whispered, he wiped away the ravenette's tears and placed a kiss on his forehead, "I really love you, yuu. You deserve happiness, you deserve love, you deserve everything good in this world. You don't have to feel guilty about receiving such things because you are already worthy of them the minute you were born"
He caressed giyuu's face lovingly, his eyes were full of passion and warmth, it ignited a slow and steady flame of love in giyuu's heart, slowly burning away the doubts and coldness he once held. He hugged his lover tightly, silently thanking the gods for allowing him to meet such a loving man.
